hi everyone ^o^! i was just thinking of a possible cool idea/feature for VT3 and/or future VT games.
you've played VT3/VT2009 for ages and over time you've gotten to know many great players and perhaps play against them regualarly in singles/doubles and that's all well and good because you enjoy their challenge and fun things that they bring to the table, but my idea is to have a Ghost mode in Virtua Tennis.
what is the Ghost mode? you ask?
well just imagine booting up VT3/VT2009 and you're at the main menu, you have the World Tour mode, Exhibition mode, Xbox Live mode etc...and then you have the Ghost mode, you click on that and what it does is it records your strategies, it records how you play so when you're playing singles or doubles, it records data of where you're likely to hit the ball, when do you hit it, how do you hit it (eg top spin? slice? lob? and maybe net cord? lol) and things like that. you just click and enter the mode and it will record how you're likely to play, as you're playing other on Xbox Live. it will also update the data it collected while you were playing, everytime you are playing, and you can choose to play against your "Ghost" double in either singles or doubles and see how it's like to play against yourself, it would even allow you to enter your Ghost mode as an extra player in doubles if there are 1 short of a player in the lobby and you could use your Ghost as a partner for the ultimate team, because it knows your game/tactics inside out so you could be playing a match in doubles and the opponent does a net-cord to your Ghost and your Ghost reacts by maybe playing it back or doing something else that YOU would do if it was played to you.
and with the infomation being continuously updated, you could also choose for certain slots for the data to be updated to, like for instance, you might not want your Ghost to be so clever that it'll beat you all the time or it's become to difficult to play against so you select first slot or data block for the really good version of you and a second for the downgraded version, so that it's not so overwhelming all the time when you play against it.
i think it's a great idea, just imagine playing against or alongside yourself, i think it's an interesting concept.
