This game is better than I thought it would be
I played the demo and decided right then never to purchase Two Worlds. But the other day I was in need of some mindless entertainment and found a copy for $9... so I decided what the heck, i'll bite.

At first all of the games flaws are on display in wide array, and there are many. But I persisted on with nothing better to do, and now i'm in around 15 hours and the game is actually fun. I've been critical of the voice acting, but it's actually kind of humorous and isn't hurting the experience any more.

The mechanics and menus are a pain to learn, but don't seem so broken once you figure them out. The fighting is a mixed bag with some good and some bad. Most of the time the enemies you face are stronger than you, but there is usually a magic source nearby to spam. Graphics are below average, but not really bad. Horse riding needs a major workover, but for the most part the game is pretty good, just not polished. I'm actually considering getting the sequel on day one, though i'll be upset if they haven't improved on what they did in the first game.

P.S. I liked the old style of english they use. It's a nice change. "Mayhap, you tell me whence you arrived here... Pray"?

I kept wanting to like that game because it's exactly the sort of game I like the most - but the camera controls are so utterly horrible I could never stand playing it for very long. I could put up with everything else if it wasn't for those dreadful, over-sensitive, all-over-the-place camera controls.

With Oblivion and Sacred 2 out there to satisfy my open-world swords & sorcery questy cravings, there really doesn't seem to be much reason for anyone to wrestle with Two Worlds' ample flaws. Glad you've found a heart of gold beneath its ugly mug, though!

I played this game right through when it came out.  I also enjoyed it despite all of its many floors.  The game was full of potential but appeared to have been rushed out to jump on the Oblivion banwagon that was fairly new at the time.  Hopefully the sequel will have had more time spent on getting the details right this time.  One can only hope, as this is the type of RPG i like normally.  As for sacred 2, I got bored with that pretty quickly.
Im a Lousy gamer, but i love it anyway. Just enjoy it.
Give us more fantasy open world RPG's.

Played the demo and liked the game a lot! It is a fun game and I got the game for $10 used, but it looked brand new! LOL! I got a good feeling that the new Two Worlds will not sell that good. That is fine with me because that means they may lower the price to around $20-$10!

I love Two Worlds. Very fun game. I can barely bring myself to play Oblivion because it bores the crap out of me but Two worlds is addictive. Definitely buying the sequel
