Connecting to EA server = Freeze

Today I borrowed Mercenaries 2 and I started the game, updated it and once it got the the main menu with all of the bullets at the top it would say Connecting to EA sever... and then my Xbox would freeze. I retried this many times and the same thing happned. I disconected my live adaptor and then tried again and then it worked perfectly! If anyone knows why this is happening i would appreciate help.

Re: Connecting to EA server = Freeze
Well, EA Nation has a lot of technical issues. Even when I'm connected to xbox live, it just says "unable to connect to EA servers." I had NFS Shift aswell and when I tried to race online, even before I typed my email, it said "The email you have entered could not be found!" So I'm not so sure what the problem is.

I just bought the game yesterday and experienced the same thing. So far can only get it to work when I'm not logged in an Xbox Live profile.

Weird. I guess everybody has their own problems with EA Nation. Lol doesn't it seem like that? I just wish EA games were like any other game where you have to connect to Xbox Live, and that's it. Wouldn't that be easier? The only game by EA I haven't had a problem playing online with is Battlefield Bad Company. The rest all have problems. It's obvious that EA needs to improve their servers.
