Title update changes
Hey, just thought I'd point out NinjaBee announced the title update:
http://www.ninjabee.com/blog/2009/10/kingdom-for-keflings-gets-title-update.html

There were two feature additions:
  • Only the host and the host's friends can break things now. This should help with all the jerks who would break everybody's stuff.
  • Keflings transport 3 things at a time now instead of one.

Of course, there are bug fixes in there, too.

Hopefully DLC won't be too far off.

Re: Title update changes
We need a more compplete list of changes made with this update...

I had just gotten my xbox back from repairs so when I started to play Keflings again I got the update. At first I didn't realize it was a new update. I thought that it just had something to do with the console swap.

So anyway, it took me a little while to notice the difference that Keflings now carry 3 instead of 1.

Then this morning I decided to start a new game. That's when I noticed the "map" thing.

I was also curious about something else I saw this morning. Without the help of belts i was only capable of carrying 6 of any item at a time. I could of swore before that it was like 10 or something, but I cannot confirm that right now.

Re: Title update changes
Other than bug fixes, the only additions were:
* Only the host and the host's friends can break stuff
* Transporters carry 3 instead of 1
* Added a clock on-screen during host migration
* Added functionality to support future DLC (the new kingdom screen)

The avatars carry just as much as they did before. You start carrying 5, then the 2 belts up it to 25.

Ok, i never noticed this before... I was really wondering about this but then I checked it out better this morning.

When I played Keflings before I only had played as my Avatar.

When I had posted about carrying 6 of an item at a time I was playing as Grant.

I didn't realize that the giants had differences other than cosmetic.

Grant can carry 6 at a time. I thought he seemed a bit slow when I started playing with him. While I don't have anything concrete to go by I am pretty sure he is slow.

Trevor can only carry 4 when he starts lol. That's pretty weak!

Both Maia and Naira can carry 5.

Are there any other differences between giants?

Re: Title update changes
Yeah, there are a couple more differences...

Trevor, to make up for the lack of carrying ability, is faster than the other giants, but slows down more when carrying stuff. I think the two females have different speeds, too. And the female giants harvest some things faster than the men and vice versa. Those variations apply to the NXE avatars.

There are also strengths and weaknesses when harvesting with the male and female keflings, if you haven't noticed.

Re: Title update changes
I haven't really played much with any other characters besides Grant and my Avatar, so I haven't noticed everything.  I pretty much just started a game with each to check out the carrying weight thing lol.

Thanks for sharing this info with us dajuse!

I'm glad you mentioned the part about male/female kefling strengths/weaknesses when harvesting!  I never noticed it till now but i just happened to be near a couple lumberjacks while i was reading your post. Female keflings harvest lumber a bit faster than males. So i decided to check this out with other resources.

Lumber =  Female > Male
Crystal = Male > Female
Stone = Male > Female
Wool = Female > Male

Wow this is incredible info! Thank you for telling us that tidbit dajuse!  This is really going to come in handy in future kingdom planning!

Now I am begging to wonder if you guys put in any other little things in there lol
