I pre-ordered BF:BC2 on october 2nd and on gamestop.com it says that limited edition is the same price as regular edition but it doesnt say limited edition on my reciept. I called gamestop and they had no clue. So will i get the limited edition?

If you reserved it then you'll b e getting the "limited edition". This is just like with Ubisoft's promotions last year on Prince of Persia and Far Cry 2, inwhich anyone who reserves the game will be given a Limited Edition at no extra cost. Those who do not will just receive the standard edition of the game at the same price.

I believe there is only one version available for preorder and that's the 'limited edition' version.  Gamestop is usually very good with its preorders and special perks so I wouldn't worry about it.  I just hope EA doesn't come out with another 'special edition' right before release.

BC2: EA Edition. and the only thing it contains on the disc, is one map, and the entire prebuild of the game.

so your saying all i have to do is pre-order the game (which i already have since about 3 months ago) and they automaticaly upgrade it to "limited Edition" at no cost     I'm not compliaining
