While my 360 is in repair I am relegated to using my PS3 but as both a FIFA 10 and PES 2010 owner, I can say happily that PES is improving nicely. Visuals are superb and controls/handling are smooth. FIFA takes the cake with more modes this year but PES is by no means a wash.
So far my only gripe is that I wish in the Be A Pro mode there were more feedback cues on how you are playing. In FIFA 10, it tells you as you're playing if you are doing good, passing well, out of position etc. In PES, you're just playing with no idea how you're stacking up. It's also very sparce audio wise.
Gameplay though feels nice. Passing is quick and responsive and the shots really feel like they have power behind them. Overall I'm really pleased with both games. I think it will come down to preference. I personally think FIFA 10 still has too many cheap goals that are repeated often. PES seems more realistic in terms of rebounds, action around the net.
