Charging for downloadable content?
I just can't see how they can even contemplate this, I like the game as is but in all honesty, it's total crap. The fact that they intend to charge for DLC in my opinion is just sheer courage. Not many companies make games with glitches that are so often and annoying, like i said not ranting about the game, just the charging. I mean not only will they lose thousands of gamers from this (The ones that are left that is) but im sure gamestop will stop buying your OFP2 games pretty soon. I went to buy it a week after release and gamestop practicly shoved a used copy into my hands. I find it funny when I check the map and its not there, when my men refuse to talk, when I shoot someone 10 times only to see them shoot me in the toe and incapacitate me, when people try to drive vehicles (rocks = springs?), when im incapacitated only to watch my AI "teammates" run from me while I call for a medic, when I have to kill teammates because they're glued to the ground, when my squads medic refuses to heal my team because he doesn't feel like walking around a rock (love you to bud), when I search for a match and get nothing 20 times, when I hit it one more time and get 20 matches. Im sure they're are many, many, many more I forgot. But the one thing I won't laugh at it is trying to make me pay for something I didn't *** up, I nominate codemasters for being one of the worst game making companies in a long time. Not only did they lie, rush this POC, not even attempt to polish the game (If you did codemasters....there should be alot of firing going on..) but on top of all that they expect us to pay for a patch that shouldn't even be needed. All I have to say is I do like this game, the co op is great. But i'll never buy another codemasters game, ever. You can make a crappy game, try to sell it if you want, but the day you try to make your customers pay for it is the day I trash talk your company anytime your name is mentioned and/or when a "game" you "made" (term used lightly) is mentioned. Im sure over half the buyers of this game feel the same or close to the way I do....good luck codemasters... your gonna need it.

They're gonna charge for the DLC? LOL, you can't be serious? What a friggin' farce man. What's next, is one of the game designer's gonna show up at my house to anally *** my grandmother while simultaniously pouring sugar into the gas tank of my car? Are they showing up to slap my wife around while kicking my dog? That's pretty much what it feels like.

Lol that was pretty funny but yeah basicly, if you search around I bet you'll find a qoute quite close to "We will take their money, give them a broken, rushed game, then make them pay so we can fix it! Brilliant, promoted to CEO!!"

The patch is free, the dlc is what codemasters is charging for.

If they're charging I'm pretty sure it's time for a Trade-in.  This is/was Flashpoint.  The legendary name famous for Freedom, Mission making, day night cycles, specops, bullet drop, windage, countless vehicles, long campaign, guerrilla warfare, countless mods and they totally ruined it.  Gameplay is good but badly crippled by the bugs.  Like the OP said, whoever attempted polishing this needs to get fired.

BFBC2 is amazing.

There is absolutely no confirmation at all that Codemasters or Microsoft will be charging for DLC.

Until you have a solid, factual statement from either Codemasters or Microsoft to base off, please don't spread rumors with an intent to aggravate the community.

Just for the record, while I enjoy this game, I will not buy ANY DLC.

True, anyone who pays attention would realize Microsoft is behind the $ for next to all DLC (or at least thats who the big companies blame, and we all know we can trust a company). I'll probably buy depending on the price and what it is.

Yep... I've seen many a [insert dev here] threads where they wanted to give away the DLC and Microsoft said no... I think Gears is the biggest example of this (like they did not make enough in sales). But when a product dissappoints (BF2:MC comes to mind), at least the first round of DLC should be free (which is what DICE did as a way to say, "Thanks for sticking by us in these difficult times.").
