Lost Odyssey - Helpful Game Guides Compilation
Hello, I've seen a couple other threads of different games do this so i this i'd make one to help out people, new or old to the have access to very useful guides to get them through the struggles of the achievements in this great game. I know i've went through a bit of agonizing nights trying to accomplish some of the achievements so, this is hopefully to save everyone else from the same agony (not really painful but its annoying, you know how it is!).

I've gathered the best sites and guides to help you in all your Lost Odyssey needs, some guides provide pictures and a video step by step walkthrough to obtain items or get through certain situations. And if you're new to the game and wanting to get an early start on the games collectibles, then this is a great area to start you won't regret it following the guides here as it'll save a lot of time and trouble.
In-Depth Guides
twobrothersandsister.com
is a great site for most of your needs in the game, it provides details and most importantly pictures of the areas you can obtain items.. here is a list of their sub guides:
- 1000 Years of Dreams - Find all areas and trigger events for each dream.
- Slot Seed Locations - Location of all 48+1 Slot Seeds.
- Seed Locations - Complete 99 Seed Locations w/ Pipots.
- Optional Quest Guide - List of optional quests obtained throughout the game, some of these are needed for Treasure Trove and Skill Masters of the immortals achievement.
- Optional Boss Walkthrough - Location and strats on the optional bosses.
- Royal Seal Locations - Find all of the Royal Seals for Tolten.
- Treasure Hunt Guide - Locations for the Treasure Hunts and triggers NPCs.
- Cubic Music Scores - Find all 9 Cubic Music Scores.
- Invisible Treasure Locations - After obtaining the Sunderch Glasses (valuable) find all 11 Invisible Treasures.
- Backyard Guide or Backyard Battle FAQ - Strategies and hidden requirements for each of the battles.
- Complete Weapons Guide - Find the locations of all the Weapons within the game.
- Underwater Treasure Location Map - This map pinpoints all 24 treasures located under the sea.

In-Depth Video Guides
- Splitplaythru Lost Odyssey - these are video walkthroughs that will help you with everything, i highly recommend these if you're stuck in a dungeon and don't know where all the treasures are at, this saved my rear a lot of the times.

Misc. Guides
- Treasure Trove Achievement Guide - Lists in order the items you find during the game and how many of the items you should find and where. Note: If you miss any that the areas aren't accessible anymore, they are available in the Auction House in Saman.
Thanks blasthead for the link
- Spells/Magic FAQ  or Spell Locations - When, where and how to obtain the spells within the game. Note: the only things you can really miss in the game are the spells Shieldus and Barricadus which are sold on the Saman Merchant Ship going to Experimental Grand Staff and during your stay in Gohtza ONLY during those times. After the events in the game while you progress these areas won't be accessible and won't be at Auction House. Be sure to purchase these spells then as they will not be available again in the game for the Spell Collector Achievement.
- Skills/Accessories Guide - The complete list of mortal skills and skills learned by accessories and where to find them.

And finally if you still want to more help or a walkthrough of the complete game, i've come across two pretty good written walkthroughs from GameFAQs.com, check either one out and use to your liking:
- Lost Odyssey Walkthrough/FAQ by German Dragon
- Lost Odyssey Walkthrough/FAQ by INVAL1D
Fun Stuff
- Mortals Only vs. The Immortal Backyard Fight - title says it all, pretty insane.
- Dream Videos - Video of all the dreams and text within the game.
- DLC Beating Professor K within 3 turns - titles says it all.

I made this thread in hopes it'll help other achievement hunters or those who just need help with the game obtain their goals. All the credit goes to the ones who worked on these guides as i am just the middle man. Enjoy playing and have fun!

Thanks goes out to those who made the guides, twobrothersandsister, splitplaythru, 360achievements.com forums who posted some of the stuff and others i may have not mentioned, thanks for your time putting these together!

I've had the game for over 6 weeks, and I am yet to play it. But, thanks for the research and the sources.

I'm sure it will come in really handy when I start playing. Smile [:)]

BAM! and the dirt is gone!

Hope it does come in handy, although its not very had to find information on your own i felt like it was a duty to support these guides to be available to the Xbox.com community here. I've seen the links floating around here and various others, why not just compile them all.

They're all very helpful and like i said it'll save you a lot of time and trouble in the end if you want all of the achievements, although i must say the game is more enjoyable just playing it as you would and not worrying about the achievements, this is still here to help anyone that wants the information.

Hope you enjoy the game though, awesome opening sequence!

You never cease to impress me Raaj.  Your posts are always a treat.  Fine job here once again and thanks.
What if...I became a Spectre? Conrad...I haven't been shot in the head nearly enough times to think that's a good idea.

All-Barricade can be found in Sea of Baus, there is a link to it in first posts 'Spell Locations'. If you passed up that area already probably find it in the auction house in Saman, with that said you can find all area items you cannot go back to here in the auction house.

All you really have to do for Obsidian is make sure you fight of the tentacle holding Cooke so she can help you're party, remember not to damage her directly, but everyone starting off damage the tentacle holding her. Then you focus more on Obsidian and its tentacles. If Mack gets in the way, whoever has Sleep (most likely Jansen), cast it on Mack ASAP so you can fight Obsidian.

Obsidian is pretty easy once you know the pattern and how to fight it as opposed to other bosses in the game. Maybe I can set up my capture card to record all the boss fights and what to do sometime, but because of Treasure Trove and the random battle pop ups I need to take a little hiatus from game haha, still don't mind helping though. But, if you check the Splitwalkthru video link at the top, if you ever get stuck. This person goes through every step of the game showing all what to do, not sure about boss battles though, but it should have them.
