While searching through the EB website today i came across this

MW2 Prestige Edition

Just thought i would give a heads up to those who missed out first run through or those who wish to make a quid by selling it on ebay

1. WTF happened to EB Games website?
2. I thought that the Prestige Edition was basically sold out world wide (according to many reports from various gaming sites and stores)
3. I was watching one a few weeks back.. Fetched over $400!

I believe on previous occassions that some collectors editions had been reserved for special promotions via the website, this is probably no different. Get in while you can, there won't be many surely.

2. It was ment to be. Maybe they 'found' some extra stock to meet the demand so there would be more $$$ involved?
3.and i was o so tempted to put mine up when they were all selling for $350+ but now they have dropped down i'll be keeping it lol

Yeah the old link to the website dosn't work anymore. Its just http://www.ebgames.com.au/ now. They have online shopping added.

Yeah, don't ike it much at all. They've cut a swag of info out from games I've been browsing (the Black and White versions of AC2 don't even have any description of what's in them beside the game anymore!!), and it just feels worse than the previous incarnation.

Nothing wrong with that, but because the website has had a overhaul, could it be that someone has accidently included the MW2 PE, when they might actually be out of stock?

I'll open a can of worms on these guys if my CC shows purchases I never made.....

Pity the prices are still crap, unlike GAME online. You can still get hardened edition too - but at 128 it's not worth it when kmart are selling standard for 79

Like I said in the EB thread - a "discount" of $2 for buying online is just laughable... *sigh*

Plus, would the "price-matching" and "7 day guarantee" policies still be in place for online orders? Probably not for the former, and I'd say no for the latter too (unless you did it in-store, and seeing as it's a different distribution channel that could cause all sorts of headaches...).

I guess if something does go wrong (and judging by those photos that surfaced, expect to get blinded by something), you should just fix them yourself. Some UHU glue will do the trick.

Im one of the lucky ones, I pre-ordered the Prestige Edition the day it came avaible for pre-order. It was only a few days later that I heard through the grape vine that all of the Prestige Editions basicly Worldwide had been sold out. Ive got a shelf in my room that is ready so that I can display it too everyone lol :).

I just ordered one. Does that mean that the limited edition wasn't so limited in the first place?

If you're planning on selling them, i'd be selling them before launch or essentially on launch day, if history is anything to go by..... Halo 3: Legendary Edition,  Bioshock CE, Metal Gear Solid 4 CE, Fallout CE etc... ALL were selling for very high amounts, but suddenly dropped back to nothing about a week or so after it launched. 

That being said, im very happy i snagged one of these of EB's website, as a family member put this at the top of their birthday list and we were quite disappointed when pre orders stopped!
