Submit player review question

I was wondering if I submit a bad player review on someone in gears of war 2 if that keep them from being on my team from then on or if it keeps me from being matched up against them from then on? Maybe both? We were not sure and were just wondering. Thanks!

Gears1 20,000 kills
Gears2 22,000 kills

Re: Submit player review question
it does not what?
keeps them off my team?
keeps me from being matched against them?

the reason for this discussion is....

say someone gets matched up with UK players and your in the US. ofc you dont want this so you aviod those players. i thought i saw somewhere that it only keep them off your team so it wouldnt do any good avoiding them because you can still be matched up against them. i dont know for sure.

Apologies, I thought my response was clear. Avoiding players by submitting negative feedback does not mean you will never encounter them again in lobbies, nor will it prevent them being selected in your team. All it appears to do is affect their reputation.

Sadly it doesn't do anything to prevent seeing them again. My wingman and I both avoided another wingman team because we got standby'd by them. But the very next match we got matched against them again, only to be standby'd a second time. This was before you were punished for standbying btw.Wink [;)]

To my knowledge, all it does is reduce the likelihood of you two being matched up in the same game in the future. In other words, you will be less likely to play them again. That doesn't mean you won't play them again though.

Re: Submit player review question
It's supposed to make it less likely to matched up with or against them. I doubt the validity of that though. Not that I have anything against Australians, but when they're host it can be really laggy. I submit a player review saying "Unfamiliar with game" so it doesn't affect their reputation, but is supposed to make it less likely seeing them again. I ended up playing them five times after that even with thirty or forty minutes in between so it wasn't where we both just finished the match and were searching again at the same time.

It's just some BS made up by microsoft. it does not do anything to not match you with them.

Preferring each other seems to work. Helped when I was playing gears 2 to rank up.
