RB2 Forumites in Washington??

Possibility of the Piggy being in Spokane or Redmond region.
Who is out there? Might have to get some local RB gaming going!

Maybe if there's a massive tournament in Idaho you'd see me there!

That's what you have to be careful of out there. You never know who is going to show up at a tournament. I've been surprised by some great players in tournaments in Chicago.

Had the #13 ranked GH3 player (back when GH3 was heavily played) show up and pwn most of us with FCs on Number of the Beast and Cult of Personality (with tapping!) during a single play.

Very impressive stuff for tourney play.

Well, fortunately for me, people around my area are just impressed that I can beat Raining Blood on expert (barely lol). I doubt that there would be much competition, though that doesn't mean that I would let my guard down. So again, unless you were there, I think that I may have a chance to win Smile [:)]

Ouch, barely beating is one thing. Getting 5*'s is a much different one.
It took me a good while to get that one down. I remember the first time I 5*'d it was in Best Buy, I ran home to try it again and couldn't make it happen. Finally found that playing off HD helped alot. Now I can 5* it everytime and pretty much get a good score on it.

I had to help the girlfriend out and play through her GH3 career on expert. I hit 20 gold stars and 5* on the first playthrough. I was pretty happy about that.

Well, I can get 4* at least. It's always the last part with those extra-nasty trills that gets me. I can actually make it through the mosh part without missing very many notes, surprisingly enough. But those trills... I swear, I need star power every time I do them or else I always fail Angry [:@]

Oh yeah, I know. There's job possibilities in both places for me. Redmond is ideal but Spokane is more likely going to happen.

Lynnwood eh? How is it there? At least I can make it out to a show sometime once I'm out there. Wink [;)]

How are you playing those trills? Honestly, I can never hit them all. I'll keep a combo for a bit but they tend to sneak up on me everytime (even though I've played it a million times) and I'll miss here and there.
The mosh is where most people struggle, that's impressive to get through!

Re: RB2 Forumites in Washington??
For the trills, I usually anchor the lower note and tap the other one. I can't tap fast enough to get them started though, so more often than not, I just strum the lower half. I've gone into practice multiple times to get it right, but it's like the beginning of TTFAF for me, which is a pain Sad [:(]

Thanks for the compliment! It took me about a week to get that part down lol Stick out tongue [:P]

Strumming the lower ones might be causing you to fail. Half of the time the game won't recognize that you're strumming the anchored note and skipping the trill and just count you missing all those AND mis-strumming.

Lynnwood is more of the Suburb area, for people who work in Seattle and what not. It's nice and you don't have to pay for parking Wink [;)]

Yeah, there's pretty much no reason for me to move into the city. It's too expensive and I won't be getting paid nearly enough to support myself and my lady-friend. I'm sure we'll be there alot to hit shows though if I end up moving to Redmond. Hell, we drive 2 hours to Chicago now to see all kinds of stuff (3 Inches of Blood and The Black Mages are the next two shows!).

Redmond to Seattle, or even Lynnwood to Seattle is much ... MUCH less than 2 hours to get to. Actually... I think it's about the same distance from both cities. Hell... I drove to South Seattle nearly everyday from Lynnwood... and that is a good 40 or so minute drive.

Yeah, I'm 100% fine with a short drive. Trust me, driving 2-2.5 hours to a show and only drinking a little so that I could drive back the same night is nowhere near as fun as driving 30-40 minutes and getting Hammer Smashed Face'd and driving back completely ...uh..sober....the..next day...

I had the choice to move to Seattle, but declined. I felt it best that I avoided awful weather like that, I got enough of it in Tampa. You sort of get tired of 3PM showers when they become daily occurrences.

Digging: Frank Zappa, Death, TV on the Radio.

Seriously, check TV on the Radio out, best band of this decade.

And especially in the winter. My grandparents live in Spokane, and last winter it supposedly snowed so bad that even a snow-blower didn't do much to clear the driveway Indifferent [:|]

Luckily I am 5 hours away from Spokane... went there over the summer when my band toured and it sucked. Flat... nothing going on really... lame.
