As I am now reading....yeah, a little too late, I know......it seems there is a glitch that will reset your rank and/or war journal. I knew nothing of this until it happened to me. I tried to look into it and learned that I had gone past the point of no return....I had started a game, thinking it would fix it. I was wrong. Seems I made it permanent.

Does anybody know if anybody has ever had this fixed? or the error reversed?

I would be surprised if there is a way but I really hope there is because if there isn't, I don't see much point in continuing to play this game....I have played Horde so many times it's not even funny.....had way too many kills toward my SERIOUSLY 2.0 and have played all boards all the way to level 50 multiple times......I might just end up trading it in if I can't get my rank back.....

I don't think there is a way of fixing it. For future references, there is a sticky on how to avoid this problem. It is like the 3rd thread down from the top.

wrong there is a way to get your rank back but not some of them achieves,,but i can get u any rank u want but only will do this if i can find a golden lancer,,beleive me or not i got my 68 rank back

im dead a55 its not a spam,,ever since they F me over my rank i found a way that i promise is not a spam....o n my gold expired 2 days ago just not upgrading until world series is over

You actually can get your rank back. It involves hooking your hard drive up to your computer using the transfer cable and changing these codes on the gears 2 save. You can get any rank you want doing it. But it's pretty complicated.

Dont believe this crap. Once you lose it its gone for good. I was a 51 close to a 52 and had over 50,000 kills after 6 months. All I played was koth and annex online sometimes the campain. This game has so many bugs and at times it just seems like Epic doesnt care. Due to the bugs and glitches and all the other junk it killed it so bad for me I wont buy another Epic game again. Dont get me wrong it was fun, but I never played a game that needed so many updates and STILL cant work right. As for rank all you can do is play again and hope it doesnt happen. Since its happen once chances are it will again. If I were you I would just trade the game in for something else. The game just makes you to mad to play most of the time. Anyone who doesnt think so is really fooling themselfs. This game has more bugs then an STD

My rank for GoW2 was also rest about 2 days ago, I called in to Xbox to see why and if there was anything that could be done...but sadly nothing. I basicaly have to do everything over and level back to my 46 rank. The non-englidh people over at Microsoft said they found "abnormalities" on my profile saying I cheated, when in fact I've never cheated on this game, all my friends just know that I am a hard-core gamer so that crap they told me is Bull-S. But whatever since they reset my rank Ive been pissed cause I have to start back at the bottom when I know for a fact that I'm a LEGIT 46! Thanks XBOX and Microsoft. Great F-ing JOB! And thanks to all you guys for posting up here about the similar problem..sadly we're all on the same boat!

I really wish they'd gotten the word out a little better about this. Not everybody checks the forums all the time.
