There will be a 5. I don't see how there couldn't be, the game sold a pretty good amount of copies.

But let's discuss what you'd like to see in the game in story, gameplay, features and extras.

Story:
I'd like to know what's up with Nero if he must return and where did his arm come from? Rumor is he is Vergil's song which is why he can yield Yamato.

Gameplay:
Compared to 3, 4 had a lack of weapons. So many Ifrit clones in every DMC game, let's see some new weapons. The nunchucka were nice in DMC3 as were the double swords. But perhaps something like a staff weapon, a spear maybe? Halberd. Something we haven't seen in DMC yet. I'd also like Dante to have some finishers like Nero did. Sure, he doesn't have the Devil Bringer but he can still do finishers.

Styles make things to complicated if you ask me. I think they could easily blend the sword master style into regular button attacks. Gun slinger is pretty useless imo. Dante should be able to aim at 2 targets with the pistols a la (dare I say it?) DMC2 without it. Trickster was only good for the teleporting a la Vergil from DMC3 but not as effective as Vergil, either. Plus running on walls should be an option.

Devil Trigger is pretty useless in the newer DMC games. What happened to using DT in 1 and being able to throw fireballs with the Ifrit and glide with the Alastor? Another example, in DMC3 Vergil's unlockable costume turned him into Nelo Angelo from 1, where he threw fireballs and stuff. We need a more effective Devil Trigger again. All DT really does now is make you faster and stronger at things you can already do.

Co-op might be nice as a stricly optional feature. Maybe even online duals. That would set the game apart from every other game of it's kind.

Features:
Online Co-op mode would be nice a la the boss battle in 3 where Dante and Vergil fight that one dude. That made me think, wow, this is what this game would be like if it were co-op. Ever since, I've been dying for it.

Maybe an open world. It might not work, but I've always wondered what that would be like. At least less linear levels with more open space.

The library should return but if I want to watch the cut scenes I should be able to pause or at least back out and resume where I left off rather than from the beginning if I don't want to have to manually go from scene to scene.

OK, I'm done. Capcom needs to throw us a bone here and let us know when it's coming out. What's your wishlist?

The styles are much better than loads of weapons IMO. - COOP wouldn't really work unless they made the enemies much stronger, always in DT, and they wouldn't be able to get shifted by a simple sword swipe, otherwise it would be too easy. I disagree with an open world, they best thing about DMC was the linear paths that could still be different on every individual difficulty. The Devil Trigger is alright, it should be disabled on the higher difficulties to add challenge, online duals wouldn't work because of in every DMC game there is always an unbreakable combo, for Capcom to prevent that from happening they would need months of perfection testing and tweaking each individual move. Dante CAN aim at two targets at once, Gunsligner wasn't useless at all, it didn't help that much until you starting using Pandora's combos, but when it came to style challenges it was your best bet, some of my friends and I kept playing one mission over and over trying to beat each other's style records, Gunsligner was great there too, also it looks really cool. I will say however the bosses in DMC4 were much too predictable and not nearly as challenging as they should of been, a little variation wouldn't kill them either.

I'd like to learn more about Nero, and what sparda really did (as at the moment it is very vague). I'd like the old style devil triggers where Dante actually became a devil, rather than just glow. I miss the equiping different gems and stuff to have different attacks (like fire, lighting and ice).
I'd love a training mode, I'm surprised they havn't put one in yet. Would be fun to be able to spawn enemys or bosses to train on. I hate having to redo a whole level to fight the boss I want to practice on.

For information on Sparda, play the older DMC games, watch the Anime and read the Manga...I do agree with a training mode though, that would be very useful.

I have played all of the old DMCs and read the Manga. I know theres alot of backstory and stuff about him but I wanna see what happened and hear about it in more description. Most of the info is broken up stories that say stuff like 'he saved the human world'. I might have to start watching the anime, I've seen 1 episode just never got round to watching more.

And Yeah I think Capcom wouldn't have much of a problem making a training mode, I think they will for DMC5, or at least I'd be surprised if they didn't.

I can't watch the Anime. Dante is just a dirt bag and he's not cool at all in it. I look down on him for being a broke scum bag who can't pay his debts. lol. Perfer him in the games.
