So i bought AC6 today with Hawx and both blazing angels games... and i went to play ac6 online and was pretty much getting dominated... realized that this was due to the other person using high g's... but with the joystick you need to press a button on the base of the unit to attain this... moving your hand back and forth from the front to the back to use the throttle AND the high G's button is ridiculous...

anyone have suggestions other than using a normal gamepad online?

Yeah, dont use high-g (ever). It just slows you down and makes you stall. Not using it gives you a major speed advantage.

Wait till the n00b you are playing against stalls out from using it and blast him out of the sky.

but this is how they're continuesly turning right behind me even though i'm banking as hard as i can... as soon as i get them in front of me they're already flying by me and high Ging around...

Put your throttle all the way up, forget that high-g exists, and don't ever fly in a straight line. From almost 2 years of playing AC online those are the best pieces of advice that I can give you.

so you're saying that decreasing the throttle or even braking isn't going to help me turn harder to get behind him? lol

Getting on your opponent's six will do nothing for you in this game. If you fly around braking and following the arrow, you are going to die a lot. 

lol me all you want, but you're the one complaining about "getting dominated".

I wasn't LOLing at you... it was at the preconcieved notion that most people that aren't experienced in the flight sim genre think that it's all about maneuvering and getting behind the other person...

so i'm asking... what's the general tactic that they're using that i can't figure out?

As far as not getting shot down, the advice I gave you earlier will make you a very difficult target to hit. Learn how not to die first. As for taking down other players, it depends. What kind of plane do you fly? Your tactics will vary greatly airframe to airframe.

I fly the one with the wings and jet engine...

Rafales have SAAMs and XMA4s right? I never was much of a SAAMer but basically stay out of the furballs. Flying slow and using your rudders will help aim. Keep some altitude incase you need a quick getaway. If you take XMAs also try to stay out of the furballs, and instead make passes on your targets. I heard someone say once to make figure 8s and try to come in hi on your enemy. That seemed to work out well for me.

Also, most of the guys that still play online have been around forever. If you get your quantum singularity handed to you, ask them for some advice. Everybody has their own little tricks of the trade. Most of them will be cool and give you a few pointers.

I've beaten AC6 on Expert, and killed all the Aces, so don't think I'm a total noob.
