Editing PES 2010
Hi there. I always spend quite a lot of time editing fake names, kits and other stuff in PES. I guess there is no way in Xbox 360 (correct me if I'm wrong) to apply user-made patches, as can be done in PC and PS3, but anyway I kinda like doing it myself. The thing is an official patch has already been announced by Konami, and I'm not sure whether I should start editing up, since the patch is supposed to overwrite anything in your option file (or at least I think that's what happened for PES 2009, which is why I downloaded the patch they released in November, but not the one they released in Match). Does anybody know when to expect the official patch for PES 2010, or a way to later apply this patch without losing anything I could have edited before?

Re: Editing PES 2010
From my own experience in 2009, the patch only overwrites things that need to be updated, it doesn't delete your previously edited things.

So for example when the game came out last year I edited all the premier league team names. Then the patch came out, I still had the edited premier league team names. Even after the 3rd patch (March update) the team names were still correct. I think it didn't affect the team transfers either, for example I changed the Holland squad and it stayed like I changed it to for all 3 patches. Players that I had manually transfers between clubs stayed there.

Now I don't know what would happen if you say put Benzema at Arsenal now and in January Real Madrid sell him to Inter. Would the patch move him to Inter or would he stay at Arsenal?

Re: Editing PES 2010
So the patch only updates licensed teams and leaves the rest of the edit data untouched? That's a good thing to know indeed. I guess I could have downloaded the patch they released in March for PES 2009 then. Not that I missed it all that much anyway. I'll start editing everything then, and leave the transfers for the end, just in case. Thanks for the info!

By the way, does anybody know what those fake teams under "other leagues" are? I mean Marchidegna and the like. Are they supposed to be placeholders for the missing (I guess still unlicensed) teams in Champions League and Europa League?

If you want you should test by downloading the patches for pes 2009 and see what it does to edited data. Like I said anything that isn't changed for official updates will be left intact.

There's a bunch of fake teams that act as second division teams. You play against a few of them in the league cup in master league.
