connecting my amplifier
not sure if this is the right place, anyways.  I have a sound system that i want to connect to, problem is i use the HDMI output from the xbox, and with that i dont know how to connect to my amplifier now.  I used to just use the fiber optics output from the AV cables. but now with the HDMI i dont have that option.   how do i connect my amp now?

Use the AV cables along with HDMI and plug your fiber optics in...you might have to modify the cables so that HDMI will fit.

Re: connecting my amplifier
If you buy the official Microsoft licensed HDMI cord, it comes with a separate attachment that's just the audio av cables to hook up to a surround sound system or anything of your choosing. Even though they may be on the expensive side, it's the best way to go.
