Restricted NAT problems.
Hi there,

Im having trouble with my NAT and im not sure how to fix it, ive tried enabling UPnP and that did work once but now my nat is restricted once again and this doesn't solve the issue. Also ive tried to forward ports for xbox live but that hasn't worked either. If anyone can help or give me a website with a step by step guide of what i need to do to resolve my problem that would be great, thankyou!! Smile [:)]

Also, the router that i am using is a Belkin F5D7230-4

Re: Restricted NAT problems.
go to www.portforward.com/  then click your router belkin f5d7230-4 and xbox live 360 on next screen. it will tell you what ports you need to open to change your nat settings from strict to open. any more problems just ask :)

All you need to do for that router is:-

  • Ensure you have the latest firmware
  • Enable UPnP (only UPnP, don't forward as well as that causes problems)
  • Ensure the ip address of the xbox is set to auto

Also, what make and model is your "modem".

Sometimes certain kinds of "modems" will cause issues, even if your router is set up right.
