I'd considered picking this up awhile back, but considering how basic and archaic its gameplay is, it really didn't seem worth 800 points... In addition to what I just referenced, the Bomberman name alone would still keep the game prominent enough to achieve nice sales even if it drops, (if not even better sales) and I believe it's been available for at least two years, so does anyone have any knowledge of whether or not a price drop will happen?

There is a sequel to this game on the way in 2010, so a price drop is possible. Then again, since all live games are in digital space rather than retail shelf space, the publishers may be inclined to just keep the price as is.
As for it not being worth the 800 points, I believe you are way off the mark there.
Anyone who knows anything about bomberman understands that the game play is just right the way it is. It's supposed to be simple fun. Yet if you play the game for any length of time, you realize just how much strategy goes into playing the game really well.
The community isnt what it used to be, but you can still find games online. I know i do.
But still, you missed out on quite alot of fun over the last couple years.
