Email sent from microsoft?
I recently purchased a 12 month prepaid xbox live card after having my account suspended for not playing in a while and not having enough to fund the xbox live. I went and put enough money on to pay for the month, my account was unsuspended, I then put the 12 month card on and everything was good. Today I got the following email: Dear Nathan Roys, We are contacting you because we have been unable to charge your credit card for your Xbox Live Prepaid 12 Month Gold Membership Card. service(s) being billed to you through Microsoft Online Services. The following credit card is the current payment method on your billing account: Credit card type: VISA Why would they try and charge me for a PREPAID card?

I'm assuming you have Auto renewal switched on, on your account. They have tried to charge your card for another year of Gold membership, luckily though you redeemed the Gold card, this will delay the renewal untill that subscription is up.

I suggest you turn off Auto renewal via the account here on xbox.com.

Once complete you have the choice of removing the card all together.

If you have any further issues or questions about the email I suggest you call MS.
