was just wondering if it was possible to avoid using a Data Transfer Kit and instead just use a memory card. See, my friend has this 60 gig HDD he wants to basically trade me for 20 gig HDD (cuz im giving him my n64) and I really don't want to delete his save files and crap. Basically, I want to literally switch the information from one HDD to another HDD, but keep all the information...just switch em. Can I use a memory card to do this?

The short answer is no.

BTW all the stuff in the HDD are tied to your GT. Even if you retain it, you will be unable to use them (with the exception of some gamer pics and themes)
