Is someone so kind to help me understand why i can access xbox live with a wii connection only if my computer is on?
The connectionnis like this

Xbox Wi-------->Router D link------->modem

the xbox receive the ip from the router but can not pass the test ( if i switch on my computer it s work otherwise pitch black)

I assume you mean wifi? What type of modem is it? Perhaps the management of external ip addresses is handled by software on your computer, rather than the modem itself. Can you connect say a laptop to the Dlink Router while your main computer is off?
