I have mixed problems with this call.

I saved it right before issabella is at teh grocery store and then not even 5 min later they call me for above the law. SO I hop through the paradise plaza shortcut, go straight to issabella. Hill her in less then five seconds lol. (first turn around, slice slice). Then I grab a piece of meat for stupid fat guy who needs some food or he makes a mutiny. Anyway, by that time I go straight to above the law and most tiems there is 4 people. However, theres been a few tiems where even if I go straight after there will be some dead.

I know I have tried waiting for that call, maybe half the time bar and every tiem I wait theres only one left.


so If theres anything less then five I usually start over. So I go and then grab the 4 chicks, run back through the short cut and end up sending them to the spot where the snipers are since thats the next mission. I set them up to stay in the room to the left as soon as you enter where the zombies first broke in. They stay and I kill the snipers, take my pics of the dead boddies and then head over to save the guy. Well I save him, send him with the girls and commence killing zombies to kil time in paradise plaza. THey call for teh hungry guy, set the survivors I have right next to the door to the security room. Go cook my steak, and head up to the security room.

This is where it gets tricky.


Since im going for the 8 people achievment, I keep them on the roof with fulll life so nobody dies on me while I talk to that food guy. Give him is food, mutiny avverted adn then I go grab my survivors. However, the old guy in the antique shop should be save arond this time but he doesnt show up, the woman who lost her friend usually shows up at the same time the old guy does. However they only show up if one of my survivors die. If I keep the 4 people I have with me, they dont show up.

As soon as one dies, then I get the call. 

Am I not able to get certain survivors if I save or have certain ones with me?

I know I could just go for frank the pimp acievment for the 8 man one too but I figured I might as well do it since I have the perfect set up.

Above the law- 4 if done right.
Snipers- 1
old guy on antique store- 1
Two lost friends- 2

which equals 8.

No more than 8 survivors will ever be alive, outside the saferoom. Once there are 8 survivors, no more will appear until some of them die or reach the saferoom. I think there may sometime be exceptions to this and some survivors upto the total of 8 will appear. If you have 6 survivors and the next to appear are a group of 3 or more then, they won't usually appear. I remember encountering this problem, I had 7 survivors and the next to appear were a group of 2, they never did so, I had to replan which 8 survivors I was going to rescue. I don't recall exactly what group I went for but, I'm sure it involved the 5 girls from above the law.
