Rainbow Six Vegas was added to  Games on Demand no too long ago.  I highly doubt that this game is being taken 'offline'.  'They', however ARE taking Chromehounds offline sometime in early 2010.

There's old games from 2005-2006 with like 50 people online but they're still online so I seriously doubt they'd take RV down which still has many hundreds of gamers, possibly thousands. Plus as Deaf Smith said, it was added to games on demand recently.

I think, ANY game that is not EA and uses Microsoft's server system will allow you to play online as long as people are on the game.  EA, however unplugs their online servers after a certain time. I cannot remeber what game(s), but I think EA took a few games down.  It'd be nice if EA didn't insisist on hosting their own stuff and just letting Microsoft do what they're the best at.

Since RSV is a UBI game, I'm pretty sure an online game can be found till  2012, maybe 2015.  I'll honestly be surprised if ANYONE is playing RSV1 online in 2015, but then again people still play Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow on XBOX.

I can't see them ever shutting down the servers for this game cause *** Doom 3 which is an original xbox game can still be played online. And it's backwards compatible with xbox 360.

Every once in a while someone says - OMG they are going to close down the servers for ............. (add game name here) and it spreads like fire.

whenever you hear someone say it just ignore them. People usually say it to get other people to boost multiplayer achievements with them.
