just read ruffians twitter and they said that a CD1 patch is coming today 10:00 GMT and it will make it possible to install CD1 to your HDD.

Thanks for that mate. If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't of bothered with the game for a really long time. Finally, my console won't sound like a 747 on the run way when playing Crackdown.

BAM! and the dirt is gone!

Excellent find, I just started re-playing it on this screen name no less than 4 days ago.  I actually got it to install to my HDD before this patch because I didn't have internet for a full two days. 
This patch is wonderful because the pre-patch install caused the game to continuously crash on me after 15 min or so. Thankfully I can now install and play the game with no crashes. A big thank you to Ruffian! Can't wait till Crackdown 2!!
