And what evidence do you have to support this notion that the dog was not zombieifed?
FACT: The zombies do not attack each other.
FACT: in every zombie movie, animals are fair game for zombies.
FACT: The dog was not attacking the zombies, nor were the zombies attacking the dog.
FACT: The zombies in Dead Rising are NOT the typical living dead movie zombies, they are the living townsfolk who were infected by a zombie virus spread by wasps.
CONCLUSION BASED ON FACTS: The dog is a zombie.
Not every Zombie movie has animals as fair game for zombies :)
The remake of Dawn of the Dead, has a key scene that is important to carrying the story forward, in which they send a dog from the shopping mall, across the zombie filled street to the gun store, to deliver food and supplies to the owner of that store... the zombies aren't interested in the dog, and this is important, because this is the way that the store keeper gets bitten.
28 Days Later / 28 Weeks Later... in this mythos, animals are not of any interest to zombies at all. You clearly see, in the first movie, a pack of horses roaming around the countryside. You do, later, see a crow that is feasting on infected flesh, but it seems otherwise unharmed.
There are other examples too.... mostly, I am just posting this, to poke and tease, cause I <3 your comments DrNewcenstein! You actually think stuff through and give intelligent arguements for your viewpoint.
