I think halo 1 is the best halo game but i want to know what others think

Yes. Absolutely.

No online play, which meant LAN multiplayer, which is so much more fun.

Good story, with every single level a memorable one, my favorites being, well, all of them really!

Let's not forget the man's Halo pistol. That thing made video game pistols look good.

Its amazing to me that I can still remember the names of all the Halo 1 levels, as well as the gameplay, but I can't really recall the names of any of the Halo 2 or 3 levels, and their gameplay just blends together so much that you can easily forget exactly what you're doing or why you're in a certain level.

I love the lead-ins for the different levels, like The Silent Cartographer, when you're flying into battle while Cortana briefs you on the mission, or at the beginning of Keyes, where Cortana takes you aboard the Covenant cruiser...Upside down lol That was the only time I laughed in a Halo campaign. The beginning of Truth and Reconciliation, where all the Marines are talking about sneaking aboard the Covenant ship on foot, is really cool, as is the rest of the rest of the level.

Or at the beginning of Assault on the Control Room, the whole "I would've been your daddy" sequence, with the dropship suddenly appearing right in front of that little Grunt, before he runs away in terror. Classic. I think every one of Halo 1's levels were awesome, simply because all of them were so memorable, and so epic. The first time I took in those new Xbox graphics rendering the Pillar of Autumn as it roared through space at the beginning is one of my favorite moments in video gaming ever, because it signified the beginning of the biggest franchise of the new millennium.

Cortana teleporting the chief upside down is the most epic scene in video game history Also I agree xXButch2000Xx halo reach should be an RPG(and an FPS).

ive playe one and a sixteenthlevels and i say its better than halo 3, i cant say about 2 because i never played it

There is absolutly no question it is the best one of the 3. I can't tell you how much more fun I had in Halo CE compared to Halo 2 and 3. They just didn't have something that the original did...

Halo Combat Evolved had the best Co-op and Campaign but Halo 2 has a much better multiplayer. Halo 3 is just bad.

Halo CE has the best single player. I thought that Halo 2 was too much designed as a multiplayer game. Sometimes old movies are remade so why not games too? Halo CE with Halo 3/ODST graphics.

A Halo 1 remake would be awesome, but it may involve Bungie having to deal with Blood Gulch. Which for some reason, they've never wanted to re-do.
