As long as you don't mod it or commit an infraction with your gamertag again the new console will be fine. Hopefully you learned something and won't repeat past mistakes.

Oh yeah, don't put your old HDD on the new console. That will ban the new console, from what I have seen on the forums.

Actaully Ry, I just think this is a new act and has started with these new ban waves, I've heard numerous folks who cant bring over their old HD to a new console so far. Heard alot about it on xbox-scene.com....for what its worth Ry, I have no idea...just passing it along

I think it might be the case bro. I would assume it disabes the HD to prevent it from DL'ing games to the hard drive and such, the HD ban, thats harsh. A new console is easy and cheap to find, and HD on the other hand, thats a big investment. Double whammy this time for some, ouch....

Yeah Id say. That would be enough to make me give up the 360. Only reason why I bought a new one was because I could use my HD with the new console. Double ouch for the recently banned. Its probably yet again another way of them getting an extra few bucks from people knowing that they have to buy the Elite instead of the Arcade like everyone else used to do.

Proof that it doesn't. And there is no need for name calling.

The forums are meant to serve informative purposes. Please refrain from calling other people names for posting things on the forums that they clearly state that they are not even sure of. They are trying to help other people, also if you are going to call people names please cite proof that makes you so sure that the new update didn't include hard drive bans. That being said, from what Ive read it seems like the hard drives will not be included in console bans. They can be used on another console without any problems. I'm not sure about this, but the hard drive should be OK even if your console is banned.
