Just wanted to let yall know that Sonic Unleashed is "a lot" better than Sonic and The Black Knight. So if yall didn't like Sonic Unleashed don't go out a buy Sonic and The Black Knight...I suggest yall rent it first.
So what's Sonic and the Black Knight like then? I gotta know since it was SUPPOSED to use a game engine similar to Sonic Unleashed. However I figured "Well the Wii version of SU stunk horribly so that's not riding on a lot of confidence there.".
Am I right to assume that?
I personally liked it, and I think the graphics are pretty good for the short amount of time they took to make it. In all the game is, in my opinion worth the 50 bucks, mainly cuz i only paid 40 and my dad paid the rest but hey x) Anywho, you seem like an honest person with games
(Tho i disagree with it stinking on Wii, SU. Its NOTHING compared to 360, which is a million times better, but the wii version is more for the little ones, just like black knight. :) )
but yes, rent it. I'm that type of person who has to have every game of something on console, hence why i own every sonic game (surprising im not fat :o) and it is a good game, but much like secret rings, not worth 50, maybe 30 tho :D
I do my best to be honest, so I will respond to your comment the best way I can.
Wii Version is for the kiddies, so there's no way that its lazily programmed stages are better. No way around it as those owning a Wii, or buying games from the Wii generally do not ask for much as a standard to their games because of the audience. This is why I rage wondering how it got better reviews when a much more balanced Sonic title for the 360 is getting bad ones. It just..doesn't make ANY sense. Especially when IGN blasted it and then went around, did a comparison of all the versions, and came out saying the 360 is the best; completely contradicting themselves in turn of doing so.
Secret Rings to me was ok...but I enjoy the freedom SU offers moreso for the "behind Sonic's back" gameplay as I was actually controlling him compared to just 'driving' him in Sonic and the Secret Rings.
I mean I've played nearly every Sonic game that's existed, sans the Game Boy Advance/Nintendo DS games for I do not own either.
Going back to playing the old games such as Sonic and Knuckles, there was a lot I forgot; like how much slowing down was actually occuring to make sure I don't run smack into an enemy or into a pit of spikes. the old games were just platforming with some speed as a bonus and I think a lot of people forget that. The speed and balanced, semi-easy-to-hard platforming aspects SU offers is the marriage of gameplay aspects I've longed for in a Sonic game for ages and I'm glad it's doing so well in sales at least. I mean it HAS to if it's got DLC now and maybe some more coming to it. (?)
I just really, REALLY hope that Sonic Team keeps up the standard. Now that Sonic Unleashed has arrived, I simply will
not accept anything below in standard *terms of the daytime stages* for what SU brought me. SU is too much fun for me to go and take one step backward with the evolving franchise of Sonic himself.
Wouldn't it be something if Sally Acorn showed up one day in a game? Man..
