I cant connect to live! it dose not detect the network hardware. I have try ed many Ethernet cables and even bought a crossover one! i try ed using my laptop with both and try ed multiple laptops and also try ed a NetGear Wall-Plug Ethernet Bridge and it works for the laptop but not the xbox! i am getting very mad! it used to work with the laptop but not anymore! i thought it was an update but is something wrong with the xbox 360! i relay need help so please give me something to try! :( :(

Are you trying to connect with that account? You need a Gold Membership.

Damn. Can i take it to gamestop where i bought it? will they give me a new one or do i have to send it in and stuff.

Also it shows on the wall-plug ethernet bridge all of its lights (witch means it is detected) go on while it is starting up but go away 5 seconds later and with the laptop it dose not show it at all it says Network Cable Unplugged

The way you talk makes it seem like your lugging ur 360 into your laptop. Your not doing that right? Id try getting it repaired

Well i don't know if i bought it new or used but even if it was bought new it would be out of warranty, But would it work if i got a wireless adapter? because it uses USB rite?

That is correct.  One option, if you have a wireless router, is to buy the USB wireless adapter for the Xbox.

It should work, even if your NIC does not.

Great, thanks and i already have a working wireless router.

Want to add me as a friend on xbox live? my wireless adapter wont get here tell like Thursday or Friday but still. I mainly play Halo 3 on live and other shooters but i have not played online in a long time so i dont know the good games for online, got any suggestions?

I don't play a lot online myself. I am to slow and old, and just get killed in a half second.  That gets boring after a short time.

But if you like shootem up games, try the arcade download of Battlefield: 1943.    Lots of action there.

It is a war game.  Drive tanks, fly airplanes, run around shooting the enemy.  Fun stuff.

I bought the wireless adapter and it works. I mainly play halo but i am going to get Call of duty and probably GTA (from a website that gives you free stuff ask me if you want an invite) and i was wondering if you want to be friends on xbox live? i am going to send you an invite in 30 seconds. Also if you ever play halo 3, do you like to forge? because no one i know ever wants to go and make cool *** in forge.

Great!  I am glad the wireless adapter is working for you.

I don't accept many friend requests, as I said up above.   I am just not online much, and am a very poor player.   I have used Forge a little bit but not much.
