Should I day one Assassins Creed 2?
I'm getting it either way it just depends when I get it.
I can either wait for the holidays to roll around or I can get it right away.
I technically have the money but I'm already buying CoD MW2 and to spend 160 dollars on games in two weeks is a bit much but I'm getting pretty fed up with these kids who are playing every new game possible when they don't work and I do. I don't want the game spoiled for me, advice?

Well, I'm getting AC2 first day then L4D2 Black Friday for $40, because they both look amazing and then MW2, and either Rock Band 2 or DJ Hero for Christmas. P.S The Sabotaur by the end of the year also.

I can't wait.  Day 1.

My best friend is Haywood Jablome, I do declare. However, Mike Oxawopah is still cool, due to his Russian heritage.

I am. I think AC 2 is one of the very few games this year worthy of a day one purchase.

I'm not anyway. I found the first to be the most repetitive game I've played in years. I couldn't even finish it out of boredom. I'll wait a good long while to see reaction to AC2 before even considering it.

Depends, did you like the first AC to purchase AC2 day one?  I liked the first game, but not enough for a $60 purchase.

Sounds like jealousy more then being fed up, and either way, for it to affect you enough to post that, you might want to think about some therapy.

Yes that may be true, but by then he'll already know the ending and everything there is to know about the game so there wouldn't be a reason to get it at all! So Fail! Get it day one!

Re: Should I day one Assassins Creed 2?
Im gonna wait for the reaction. AssCream1 was too repetitive, it seemed like they were just trying to release an early game that had amazing scenery rather than focusing on the story..although, in saying that, they now have the scenery covered and so can focus on the story. Even though it may of sounded like i hated the first game i enjoy it but just cant bring myself to finish it. Just one of those games to me...everyone has one of em'.

I agree. I don't usually buy games day one due to laziness.

Op, why will little kids getting it first ruin it for you?

Boosting is pitiful.

I'm getting it through Gamefly. I don't see myself playing through it more than once since there are no multiple endings or paths to take during the story and there is nothing to do after beating the campaign, so it is a rental for me.

Gamertag change coming soon...when I get back from Thanksgiving break.

I'm getting it day one. Everyone keeps complaining that the first was repetitive, and yet I didnt have that problem. Got to the point where I just tried to take out everyone with the hidden blade through countering everything.

theyre mostly complaining about how the missions were repetitive, which they were, as it were the same 4-5 missions throughout the game.  But even with that though, AC 1 was a blast and one of the most fun games and one of the best action/adv games Ive played.  AC 2 looks to be epic

Yea, definitely the side missions that you had to do before you could assassinate someone.

I don't know. That was definitely part of it but the assassinations I did at least, felt pretty dull too. Usually it was just about climbing up or around something until I got close enough to stab him. Then run and hide in some hay for a few minutes. And then leg it back to your hideout.
Maybe there was better kills later but by that point I just couldn't force myself to play.

ummm, don't let yourself get spoiled? i don't want to get spoiled with all the leaked footage of MW2 out there. so you know what i do? i don't click on any links or threads providing information about the the game. come on man, use that mushy brain god put on your head to think for yourself.
