Yeah agreed, I've rated the thread terrible for that very reason. He should put question marks on the end of the title, then that would make sense.

Since the servers were removed without prior warning to the UT3 community I lost all hopes for servers in GoW3.

The layout forces Locust to camp unless they somehow win the rush to hammer though.  And when you don't win it, if the person on the other team with the hammer has any skills with it, you're forced to camp.  I've sat in the arcade for minutes on end because I knew that stepping foot outside would lead to death.

That's what makes it a bad map.

With a good team getting to the Hammer isn't much of a challenge.  One or two rush towards it while the others sit back and smoke/cross fire the hell out of the other team. Depends on the other teams skill too though.

If you got a good sniper/torque bo'er on your team he should be able to assist and possibly take out the HoD/mortar guy, especially with the sniper, assuming the connection isn't crappy and headshots are actually registering....

escalation was amazing but in my opinion horribly unbalanced

the bottom got two longshots and a set of frags, with easy access to more frags in the middle

and top got ........ hammerburst and boltok

I agree, but on Day One it's the same because one side of the map you got the torque and on the other you got the mortar, so in some way it's an unfair advantage , same on Hail...

sticking to subject, yeah raven down was a good map, and so is escalation, that was probably my fav map, also rooftops, i still play gow1 just to play on those maps, but then again some of the new maps are pretty good to, so i cant complain much about it, ive gotten a little to attached to sanctuary and warmachine
