Seriously, it IS the worst of all time. My god..I bought it back in March, and gave up on it...now I started playing today...CRAP. No wonder...The controls are terrible..the aiming is horrendous...it's so cluttered, full of nonsense. I can't find 1 redeeming quality in the game...and people think this is one of the best games ever??? It SUCKS. My god..what an over-rated pile of crap.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but dont u think this rant is taking it a little to far too quickly.
I personally didn't think much to the game to start with but when I actually gave it a chance when I had nothing else to play, I put it in. I gave it a chance and found that it was one of the most interesting games I had played in a long while. The story itself is so enveloping that it hooks you. I can't think of any problems that I had with the gameplay mechanics. Maybe you've come over to a game with different sensitivity controls or something.
It just maybe that the game isnt for you.

And as for worst game of all time, its got to be Barbies Horse Riding thing on the origonal XBOX

When fourty people say it's good, and one says it's bad, people tend to doubt the one.  Sorry, but I don't see you getting many agreement posts.

Before judging someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you judge them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

The game itself makes no sense. You go into certains rooms and get bombarded by flying machine guns, yet go 1 inch out of the door and they stop...enemies can see you through walls, jump out from cover firing and never miss...combat is brutal...I see nothing in this game that makes it any better than a game like FEAR, FEAR 2, Condemned, Far Cry 2, etc..except all of those games are far, far less annoying. I've had like 30 games for the 360, and this is probably the 2nd worse in the collection (Only Turok is arguably worse..for the exact same reasons that Bioshock is junk). It does not deserve a 9/10 rating. It does very little differently, and the things it does are mediocre at best.

Are you serious? Wow....... Don't get me wrong, I respect your opinion, but the "worst game of all time"??? Really?? Did you REALLY give this game an honest try?

Maybe if you listened to the radio recordings you find throughout the game you would understand the game rather then rushing through the whole game.

I can see if you ran though it like any brainless shooter like FEAR you can find the combat disappointing, but brutal?  I found the game kinda on the easy side, I even started out on the hardest difficulty.  It's all in the eye of the beholder though...

I'm really excited for the second one. Try to pull your self away from the typical death match, ctf multi-player games and consider something else good. Just a suggestion, nothing personal.

i dont why you would say bioshock sucks..? first time i played it i was like it was amazing, how the story and the gameplay worked so well with eachother.. the story is real interesting which in my opinnion is the best feature of the game. But the fast-paced gameplay is also amazing. Plus it has this rpg fell with a fps point of view. the games truly one of the best ones out there

It felt clunky as hell...hard to aim and hit anyone. I don't suck at shooter games either..I've dominated Far Cry 2 on Infamous (and that is legit hard)..COD on veteran. Bioshock was just terrible, IMO. I couldn't stand playing it..I gave it an honest 2 hours (I bought it used for 20 bucks)...I just never saw the hype, it's so average. Put it up on a 1 day action today and sold for 13 bucks. lol..Oh well...good riddance..

Well, I never found it hard to aim at all. In fact, as far as I know, this game has a substantial amount of aim assist.

Also, I'm pretty sure people are giving the game good ratings not because of its in-game mechanics but rather its story. That's what I loved about BioShock. Its story was very compelling. I've been thinking about playing through the game again for the fun of it. It would kind of be like rereading a book.

So, if you were rushing through the game as fast as you can, I wouldn't expect you to enjoy it too much.

Well first of all aiming with your guns isn't the point of the game. If you can learn to use your adam correctly you'll be able to play, and enjoy the game. Have you ever played any other rpg games like this?

Your critiques...if you even want to call them that seem to be foolish. You say you only played for 2 hours and the game is the worst ever? You barely played the game, let alone paid attention to the story I bet, which is the reason why this game is so highly regarded.

Well, I've never heard a single other person say the aiming sucked, and I don't find it to be that way myself.  So either adjust your sensitivity or re-examine your opinion about whether or not you suck at FPS games.

First time I played I found the controls to be a bit on the sluggish side.  I kept running out of ammo on all of my weapons, and got bored and frustrated within a couple hours of starting.  I put it down and played something else for a couple weeks, but decided to give it one more chance before I sent it back to GameFly.  Care to guess what I found?

The first time you play this game, the first 2 or 3 hours are rather slow and frustrating.  Once you get past that, the game is phenomenal, and those bits that were so frustrating your first time through are only bad that first time.  If you go back and play a second play through, you'll find yourself wondering what the problem was.  I think the game has a much steeper learning curve than people realize, and once you get familiar enough with the game you get a chance to sit back and enjoy the story a lot more.

Bioshock rules. You suck. And there IS auto-aim in the game... this is the only shooter I can think of that I use it on though.

I was going to be extremely sarcastic in response to your post at first...

I took a look at your gaming profile though, and you not only seem to have a decent taste in games, you also live in Salem... which is pretty cool, so instead of sarcasm I will say the following....

You said up above somewhere that you have had the game for months and have give it plenty of chances...  yet you have a grand total of 6 achievements unlocked for the game.

If you had played through to the end, you would have naturally unlocked more...   go ahead and play it through, and make SURE you listen to audio tapes that are lying around... the more you listen to, the more of the story and reasons behind the game are divulged to you.

It really is a highly enjoyable game, and is very well put together.   I don't to be honest, see what you mean by bad controls and aiming, I had no issues whatsoever with them.

Give it a little chance, and you will find that it really is a golden experience.   My initial impression of the game, when it was first released was "Eh... lots of hype, it is gonna be very mneh!"   I am proud to say I was happily proven wrong when I got the game and played it... I was hooked and couldn't put it down, finding that I had gone through a good couple of days and nights with no sleep running around firing off plasmids.

Yes... I have no achievements unlocked on this profile... thats because all my achievements for all my games are on my offline profile... I made the mistake of making this profile BEFORE I got my 360 :(   So you will have to take my word for it, it is worth the effort once you get past the first couple of initial levels and into the city proper.
