EB Games -- Preorder
hey guys, just wondering which of you have pre-ordered from eb games in the past and whether you can pick up your game (i my case, MW2) on the release date or not. Just heard that they hold new releases for 48 hours or something???

Yeah you can pick them up on the day of release. They will hold your game for 48 hours if you can't get in on that day, but past that you may have to wait for restock if they sold it and are out of stock and you took 3 or more days after release to come in and get it.

You can pick it up at 12:01am on Thursday if your store is doing a midnight launch.

Re: EB Games -- Preorder
thats one thing i like about pre-ordering at EB. when it comes out the game.. you can go straight in the morning soon as they open and pick it up with no dramas. but with JB hifi that i have pre-ordered a few games lately. there abit slack ..they tell u sometimes u need to wait until the afternoon to pick up ur copy..they forget to give you ur pre-order bonus codes...and half the time the sales people at the registers dont know how to complete a pre-order pick up sales..lol

It won't be as busy on Wednesday, Tuesday is going to be hectic. Also, do not fret padowan, picking up orders is an easy process.

Yeah, I'm hoping most of them will be picked up Tuesday. It's just that cos I'm learning I get all this pressure on me to be fast because people want their games. I think I know how to do pick ups anyway. Take the receipt, REMOVED

I've only had two shifts and one of them I had a really dicky customer. Telling me off because we didn't have the booklet for a preowned game that's nearly 10 years old. I was like "Dude, it's $4. Just take the game". Ah well. We'll see how it goes.

EDITED.

Then it's all downhill from there.

Removed it, brah. You can pretty much know just by reading anyway. Also you can't get in without an Employee ID.

You should be able to share it on here but i probably wouldn't either mate managers of eb do read these forums at times but i am sure you will improve and really you can't help moron customers you just get used to them after a awhile :)

Re: EB Games -- Preorder
Im kind of pissed and im not the only one that has had this problem. I received my copy of COD MW2 Prestige edition in the post today. EB packed it into a box that was way to small, they didn't even bother to put bubble wrap or any protective stuff inside to protect the package. And i open it up and find that the COD packaging is wreaked. I know EB are new to online shopping but dam learn how to pack a item its not that hard. A heard a few people with simular situations.

Even though that is a policy i have never had a problem with them holding it until the following weekend as long as you let them know that is the only time you can collect it.
