I redeemed my membership to gold and it says I'm silver..?
Well, today (11.07.09) I purchased a Xbox LIVE 3 Month Gold membership and logged into Xbox and redeemed it. During the process of redeeming it my Xbox froze and I turned it off - turned it back on. It said I still have silver so I suggested to Re-Redeem it so I typed in the code again and it said that the code has been used. My friends kept showing me on their Xbox that it says I have Gold, and on my Xbox when I go to Manage Account - Memberships, it says I have a Prepaid 3 month Gold subscription. It has been 2 hours since when I put in the code and I checked just now and it shows silver still.

What do I do?

I'm guessing this is solved as it shows you are GOLD now. :)

As said above, the problem from our end seems to have resolved itself. For future reference, if you purchase anything through xbox.com, whether it be MSP or Gold subscription it can take up to a few hours before the process is fully completed.

A work around is to do everything via your console as the transaction will be completed right there and then.


If you are still having problems with your account and it's still showing silver, delete your profile and recover it using the recovery system.
