They work as many times as you want. They just can not be used on the same source drive, as the drive is left blank after the transfer process.

I used a transfer kit that came with the 120Gb drive and then my friend used it on a drive he bought from eBay. Finally I sold the kit on eBay and the new owner used it successfully also.

Oh no. Don't take what I said the wrong way. I just believe that its suuuuuuch a rip off to pay that much money for upgrading the HDD. So much so that when I ran into problems with my 1st gen console's limited 20GB of space I opted instead to just buy a new console instead of paying a premium for just a larger HDD. Of course MS is banking on quite a bit of people like me coming out of the woodworks on Tuesday.

Ya know, I hadn't quite thought about it like that before. MS loses quite a bit of money on each sale of a 360 and rely heavily on the sales of games and accessories to turn a profit? If one has the means, it's a nice little way to stick it to them by buying a new console. Of course we all know that MS wins that game in the end...

I too am getting the MW2 console tomorrow and I am really hoping there is a gamestop in my area with access to the new transfer kit

Yup, why let them profit when you can come out with a brand new system with a better revision of hardware and a massive HDD. As you said you also stick it to em since they are losing money on the system. I pre-ordered that bad boy on amazon as soon as I found out about it.
