I joined my friend a couple days ago to play some band quickplay, he played the drums and I played bass. During every song we played he kept missing to orange notes. We even did a song that was mainly orange notes and he got none of them. He said that on his screen he was getting all the notes. I know it's not him just failing epicly at Guitar Hero. Has anyone else had this problem before? If so, is there any way to fix it?

Yeah, that's happened to me before on these games. It's just some lag between you and your friend. If you want to know if it is definitely lag, then stop playing your part when he is hitting a lot of orange notes and see if the score increases.

If the lag actually hinders you ability to play, then you should try finding some tips on the support forums. If the only problem is that you can't see him hit all of the notes, then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

We failed multiple songs because of it. Is there anyway to fix it?

I'm a little confused about this. If your friend says he is hitting all of the notes but you're still failing songs, then somebody in the party is playing poorly. He is either lying about not missing the notes, someone else is not performing well, or his drum kit is defective and he just assumes he is hitting the notes because his timing on hitting the notes is accurate. My best guess would be is that he isn't hitting as many notes as he claims he is.

Like I said before, I don't believe it is him just failing. Because he is able to play a drums career on expert. Also, I have joined other random people in matchmaking who were  playing the drums and they missed all the orange notes as well.
