On my XBOX360 we have 7 different users for each one of the people in our house.

I am the only one with an XBOXLive account.

For my son's 6th birthday I wanted to buy him a costume for his avatar.

He chose a Star Wars Storm Trooper suit and helmet.

I bought them and downloaded them.

Obviously I had to use my user for this because it is the one that gets on XBOX Live, but I was under the impression that I could buy the clothes and then they would be available for the avatar of any user on my XBOX.  But, when I log onto my son's account, I am not able to select the items I just bought.

Please help.

If I'm not able to use them for his avatar is there any return process, because I just wasted $8 bucks if my son can't us them.

Sorry, as far I know, avatar clothing is only available to
the profile who downloaded it, and not anyone else, even
though it might seem a bit strange.

Cool thing to get for your bithday by the way, really modern-sounding. ;)

For some reason, avatar items are only usable by the profile that purchased them.  This is in contrast to ALL other DLC, which is usable by any profile on the console.  This is the reason why I don't purchase avatar items at all.  Please call Microsoft and complain. 

Oy Vey! I am sorry to hear this. I am guessing that calling and asking questions might help, especially if your really ticked off and request to speak to a supervisor. Theres a very small possibility you'll be able to get refunded, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
