Hey Xbox enforcement team. Just a quick one if I may please. Its probably a daft question but I don't want to get my new console or my old console banned. I am currently participating in the Xbox Live Preview Program. My current console has the preview bits on it. But tomorrow, I am going to get my new MW2 Super Elite console (can't wait), and once i've transferred my gamertag to the new console, obviously the preview program wont because thats registered under my old console id. But I dont want it to appear dodgy as i'll have my gamertag on a different console ID and the current one. I ask as I would like to move my old console to the front room, and will sometimes want to use this gamertag on the old one or am I better starting a new gamertag to use on the old console? Hope that makes sense (lol) cheers

The only thing that will cause you any problem would be if you were to put your current HDD (with the preview software entitlements) on the new Elite. Moving your current gamertag between consoles will not be a problem. I do it everyday.

oh! i was intending to do that until i could get a data transfer kit sorted! how can I sort this then??

I would make no moves as far as content licensing until the Dashboard Update becomes available to the public. Contact MSFT and inquire about receiving a transfer-kit.

ok, and the data transfer kit will transfer my rights to the preview program? When you say MSFT i assume you mean Xbox Customer Services here in the UK? Or is there another department I can contact to get the preview program shifted to the new console and the old one to redownload the pre preview program dashboard? Thanks for you help so far. Glad I asked now.

also, i signed into my Xbox preview program profile. its giving me the option to quit the preview. If i click quit will that initiate a download of the non preview dash back to my current console??

Do not use the transfer-kit to move anything until after the update gets released to everyone, ie. the new Elite you are getting. The priveledge to preview the new update is ONLY for the console I.D. which you previously registered.

If you were to place the HDD with the preview onto the new console, your old console which has preview access will not be able to connect to Live until the dashboard is released to the world.

ok. When wiill it go to public view? I'd rather just opt out of the preview now and wait for what must be a short time for it to be released if thats possible.
