Running through Call of Duty 3 on Veteran is pretty tough. I am almost there. I almost finished Crossroads and got three more levels after that. Cannot wait till that achievement comes up. That will be my biggest accomplishment I think on all my games thus far. General for Cod3 is pretty time-consuming too. I will hope to have that in about 6 months lol.

I think the stupidest one is the 10,000 kills in Gears of War.... It's stupid because I am going to get it and it will take me at least 3 more weeks of working on it to earn 50 points. I could of earned who knows how many by playing other games :) It will be worth it!

Yea the Gears ...Seriously is kind of stupid, but it is a well earned achievement, when it doesn't glitch and not give it to you.  I am currently about 4k kills away from that one.  I can't wait to get it.

40 kills in even a 19 round game is hard to come by unless your the host... I can not host since my connection is limited it terms of hosting 7 other connections. I can play find joining a game but I can not get 40+ kills a game. The largest amount of kills I have ever received has been 26 kill as a non-host. I however average 15 kills a game. That is 667 games before I get my acheievement. Even at 40 kills a game it will take 250 games to get.

I don't know about you but I have a very active life. I play sports, work full time (40-50 hours a week), I am married, I do charity work 4 times a week (10-15 hours a week), and I am a full time college student (24 credit hours a term). I am VERY busy... So for me to sit down and play 2-4 rounds at a time is nearly impossble.

I love GoW and wish I could play more but I guess I am not a hard core player as I once was and got a life, lol.

I just hope I can get the 10,000 kills before GoW 2 is out :)

I think most of the achievements in Final Fantasy XI top anything out there.  I've played the game for 3 years and I only qualify for about 5 achievements.
There is an achievement for getting each job to 75 for instance. There are only about 10 people in the entire world across all servers that have all jobs to 75.
Achievements for relic weapons for instance are absurd. 1 million + people play FFXI and there are about 50-75 people that have relic weapons.
I just don't understand the point in making most of a games achievements things that 99% of the games population will never be able to achieve. It just makes them boring and no one goes for them.

Okay NBA 06 took me 6 hours total - plus i was messin around in the practice part - , (hardest - online win - americans are amazing at this and i was always facing americans)

 Hardest for me would be - PGR3 - quilify for a tournament and play the first elimination round - (i did my best in london event and came 1,2...thousand and something, i hate competing with people outside my league although it gives me practice in gears of war (only exception)

Most important game in the world ----- Gears Of War ------- covers all my wanted features except free roam!!! ring a bell anyone when number 2 comes out !!!

lol, no I meant that like they should change the gamerscore like to more bigger #'s, like for Genocider, you should get maybe 50? and Frank the Pimp 50-65? Not like GRAW where you get like 3 ponts and 7 points, that's stupid.

Absolute worst game goes to C&C: Tiburum Wars. I bet they were thinking they were creative when they thought up the "Negative Achviement" idea...

 

I also got the kill yourself 5 times in F.E.A.R. Mostly from random glitches where I'd throw a grenade with touching any buttons.

The most impossible SP achivement goes to F.E.A.R with its Ammo Hog achievment. I litterally fire 500 rounds whenever i see Alma...

I hate near impossible achievements. My biggest thing with the achievement system is to max out possible gamerscore. Currently I'm close with only two games played and nine arcades played. You can check out on www.xbox360achievements.org to see what achievements came out on the vista version of Halo 2. If they do that on Halo 3 I'll be happy. If they make levels or super impossible medals part of the achievement system I'll be pissed.

I think the "47 Kills" in Hitman: Silent Assassin is pretty hard...

I'm not saying hard in the pull your hair out sense, but it does take some patience.

The "All Weapons" takes a little work too, unless you do it run and gun... And it would be very hard without a guide as to were to find the weapons and what you need.

Here's my picks for the dumbest and the toughest achievements to date:

Dumbest- GRAW1 "Top of the Leaderboards" achievements. Not only impossible, but incredibly stupid on Red Storm's part. It's nothing like dangling 4 achievements worth a couple hundred points and making them unattainable to 98% of the Xbox Live community. GRAW 2 fixes this problem by making all of the achievements attainable for everyone if they work hard enough (you can't fake the Ultimate Defender...).

Toughest- Hitman Blood Money "Professional" achievements. Hours of frustration, heartache and tears as I painstakingly made my way through the Pro campaign. No in-game saves. I'm breaking out in a sweat just thinking about it. And to get "Silent Assassin" five times on that playthrough... well... it certainly put me into a coma (practically) after I completed both achievements.
