Thanks. It was pretty easy for most of the missions to figure out the objectives in japanese, really. When in doubt just stealth kill everyone :) There were a couple though like where you have to follow a guy, and then the objective changes and you have to kill him, and it took me a bunch of playthroughs to figure out. Im actually excited about playing this game in english, at least briefly, to see the other features i couldnt figure out. And yes the enemy positions and types change everytime. I didnt feel like it suffered from not having enough levels, instead it was nice to be familiar with the layout of the level having played it before, while not being aware of what kinds and types of enemies you would encounter.

I think you have to kill enough people to still get master ninja not just get through it unspotted. I still havent played the english release so its possible that the achievement has changed but i doubt it.

Re: R: Re: Tenchu Z FAQ

Ya I'm wondering about the 5 missions without getting spotted too. I take it to mean that you have to grandmaster 5 missions in a row. They make it sound though that you can't get caught at all. I'm wondering if you do get caught can you just restart the level or will that *** the acheievement up for you. Also do you have to do all 5 mission in one sitting or can you turn your system off between them.

And for anyone wondering about customization, search on youtuve for 'dressing a ninja' and you'll see what's in store for you. I like the assault rifle on your back and the wolverine claws

controls?
I'm used to playing with inverted controls and in the demo I was not given the option of inverting the camera.  Is this going to be the case for the final version?

Does this game have Local Multiplayer, like Tenchu: Return From Darkness. Or is it Online and System Link only?

You can change controls yes. You cannot however purchase newstealth kills. the only stealth kill you can truly purchase is the ability ceiling. and that's just ceiling stealth kills.

Most of those achievements are wrong.

Clear 1 mission without being spotted

Clear 2 missions without being spotted

etc. up to 5.  (5 total achievements)

Clear 5, 10, 20, 30 ,40 ,50 missions (11 total achievements)

Kill 20,50,100,300,500,700,1000 (18 achievements)

Murdered the lucky man ( or something like that) 5, 10, 20, 30,40 ,50 (24 achievements) What this means is there is a guy wearing a golden mushroom cap on each level, and there are 50 total levels.

Get master ninja(highest ranking/ss/etc) on 10, 30, 50 levels,any difficulty (27 achievements)

Complete the Story ( 28 achievements)

Get SS/master ninja on every level on easy (29)

get ss/master ninja on every level on normal (30)

get ss/master ninja on every level on hard (31)

Those are all of them. They are 100% correct. So please nobody post and try to say the ones for clear 1,2,3,4,5 unseen are secret missions. (yes i know that is what the achievement icon for it looks like, but its not what the achievement is)

happy Ninja-ing

uh for some reason that seems wrong to me...

omg i havent played tenchu since the first one, so two quick questions: one) whats the full deal on the tomokichi/mushroom/lucky guy? theres one on each level, or is there some prerequisite for his appearance? is there a site or faq stating his location per level? 2) when and how do get secret levels?

Im glad most everyone loves this game. Ive always maintained that the graphics were sub-par but the fun factor is through the roof. The next import we get is Vampires Rain, and i think anyone who enjoys tenchu will also really enjoy it. Graphically it rates about the same as tenchu, but its also got the fun factor. Watch it will probably get the same reviews of 4-6 that tenchu got.

Quick question, I soometimes hear a sound after doing a stealth kill. Sounds very similar to the noise you get completing a mision, what does the noise mean?

Whenever you perform a stealth kill and the little ring shows, if you hit it when its red instead of orange, you get that sound. I'm not sure what it's called but I think its something akin to a "perfect" stealth kill. Not sure what it does, but I imagine it has to do with your score at the end of the level.
