Monopoly would be cool.  How about the Munchkin card game?  That would be fun.

Yeah - Hero Quest ftw! Loved that game when I was younger... Lol, love the idea of Keller's Keep for DLC. I was thinking games like Cluedo or Greed would be great board games to add to XBLA.

Monopoly has been a fav of mine. Haven't heard of many of the games listed here, although I hadn't heard of Catan or Carcassonne and ended up loving them Big Smile [:D]

Yeah Risk, Axis and Allies and Fortress America would be great. If you don't know what Fortress America is you probably were born after the Berlin wall fell down.

I'm still waiting for any news on the previously announced Alhambra game.

However, I'm still holding out hope for Days of Wonder to get on board with either XBLA or PSN.  Bring me Ticket to Ride on my couch!

Re: Catan is awesome, but we need more Board Games

Semi-good news! According to Nov '07 Xbox magazine we most likely will be seeing more board games on XBL. In the messagge center on page 19 of the mag a response was posted to a similar question/request  as we are posting about here:

"Risk, Monopoly, Clue, and Scrabble -- jusdging from reader mail and forum topics, just about everyoone wants to see these board games on XBLA(sic). It's encouraging that Infogrames recently sold the digital rights to nine board games-- all four previously mentioned, plus Game of Life, Yahtzee, Battleshp, Boggle, and Simon-- to Hasbro fro just under $20 million. A few weeks later, EA announced it had scooped up some of those same licences and had plans to make new games. Nobody's ready to announce if there are plans for Live Arcade versions of these tabletop classics, but we're guessing it'd be a winning move."

And hey it's published in a fairly high profile magazine so lets hope that could be good news for Catan expansions too (keep hope alive people)! F%#* the Robber!

LOL... amen to the robber comment.

I used to play Hasbro's "CLUE" on the PC when it was popular. Then Hasbro took down their servers, and my CLUE cd turned into a coaster for my drinks.

I would love to be able to play that one online again.

Alhambra?  Wasn't that the name of the brothel in "Gun"?  Never played the board game.

Anyway, there's a game available on the DS that I'd love to get but it's packaged with other, crappier games.  XBLA needs that game.  What game is that?  Battleship.  Depending on the package you either get Battleship, Connect Four, Sorry!, and Trouble or Monopoly, Boggle, Yahtzee, and Battleship on the DS.

Re: Catan is awesome, but we need more Board Games

Games I would most like to see that I think would port well to XBLA:

1. Caylus

2. Power Grid

3. Puerto Rico

4. El Grande

5. Age of Steam

6. Battlelore

7. RA.

8. Cosmic Encounter

9. Ticket to Ride

10.  Pillars of the Earth

11. Acquire

12.  Torres

13. Ave Caesar

14. Shadows over Camelot

15. Web of Power.

There are 15 games that would be a blast online. I own all of these in their board game form. Each plays well and would be lots of fun.

Yes, expansions, not just new in-game themes, would be awesome for some of the current library.
