one trick to the search button is that after you type in your search text, you need to click on "search" instead of pressing enter.  Pressing enter for some reason just brings you back to the page you were on. 

Before I post anything new I go through the first page or 2 and then do a search.  If nothing comes up, then I post away.

Yeah.. the point of the official XBOX forums that is created and run by Microsoft is to have XBOX and XBOX related discussions.  There are tons of other forums out their run by everyday folks that have a wide variety of conversations.  You should go check them out.

I got a "post deleted" in my E-mail for one of the "Mods are crazy" threads. So does this mean that if the thread get's deleted everyone in the thread get's an e-mail?

Not really.  Most likely the thread was deleted in portions and yours maybe quoted something; it may have been the initial post deleted for that portion of discussion within the thread.

I do not have a problem with the mods most of the times, however there must be at least one who deletes threads based on thread titles and not reading the content, while letting off topic and threads that belong in game forums exist.

But it does not happen to often at all so not that big of a deal.

well a proper thread title is just as essential as what is inside.  if i saw a thread titled inappropriately i'd close it no matter the content of it.

for instance...a thread titled "Eat My *** Microsoft" but yet inside were good things...i'd close it anway.

If anything, they might be worth a glance every now and then to assess CUL. Agreed. I've surprisingly seen a lot of 4s and 5s acting up especially in forums like GoW, and the general xbox discussion. You'd think they'd be the veterans who don't act up, but its surprising. :-S

No argument there.  A thread saying that Sony payed off a morning show should have been locked, and was.  But a logical disuccsion thread about the comments made in the show in the question should have ben allowed to stay IMHO, and not just deleted because it had the same subject matter.

I understand that you all do it out of love and not the money, and some times it just becomes a job in its self, keeping the fan boys at bay.

She sure can lock threads, though.

Also, I don't think mods should be active posters. There's bound to be a difference in opinion a lot of times, and we all know whose post/thread gets deleted.

If you really want to keep these forums unbiased/controlled, moderators should be "banned" from posting.
