Shenmue needs all the support it can get.  I hope that this will wake up some suits at SEGA.  Please make Shenmue 3!

Shenmue, the game that changed my life ! Actually, it was like a true second life back then, mixing pleasure with mystery and everything I loved, not forgetting the breathtaking plot, the martial arts, the journeys, and the real sense of playing a unique and true hero... And I could go on for days !  

I would download anything about Shenmue from the Live.

Of course, I need the third game to live happily ever after !

The whole series would be great !!! 

One of the resones i have this gamer tag, bring on shenmue 2 on the market place one of the best games EVER made !!!!!!!!!

I already have the game on disc, so personally I wouldn't buy it on XBox Originals.
Still, I'm sure the game would do well on this program and besides, its already backwards-compatible, so you might as well, right?? EVERYBODY should be able to have a chance at playing this game and having it available on XBox Originals (not to mention exclusively) should help tremendously.

If Shenmue 1 got ported from the Dreamcast to XBox 360, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat, especially if they gave it a bit of a slight visual boost like they did . But then how would this fall under the XBox Originals program?? Perhaps this could be a part of a different program where you have games from previous console generations ported to 360 and sell them through Live. Most people probably wouldn't buy a game like Shenmue today at retail, but I having it be a digital download exclusive, I can definitely see interest for it. This could open the floodgates to a bunch of Dreamcast games like Powerstone, Sonic Adventure & House of the Dead 2, availble as digital distribution through Live.

Yes! Please release both of these underrated gems, Shenmue and Shenmue II, on X-Box Live Originals.  I own both games on Dreamcast and X-Box, but any new avenue for more gamers to have the opportunity to enjoy these games is more than welcome.  Anything to help add to the demand for Shenmue III. 

One of the reasons i haven't bought the xbox 360 or playstation yet is because i don't know if shenmue is coming out to any of these machines or not. So if they finally announce that they are making the game for xbox 360 i'll be running out to buy one.

I freaking want Shenmue III. I'd buy this for the heck of it as well.

A couple years ago, I bought Shenmue 2 in a bargain bin at a dept. store that didn't even sell videogames.

I never heard of it, never played part 1, didn't even have an interest to play it.

But for $5... I couldn't resist.  20 minutes into the game, it had its hooks in me.  I've been looking for part 3 ever since.

I would buy it even though I already own the Dreamcast and Xbox-version. This would be a great opportunity to let Sega know that there's a huge fanbase for Shenmue.

I can see Microsoft letting them put some Dreamcast games on Live eventually... They have to compete with  Nintendo's virtual console, and what better way then with Shenmue exclusive!

Another awesome thing about this..is to FINALLY be able to carry over a game from 1 to 2 in the english version..Imagine getting stab armor as high as possible and taking it in to aberdeen and kowloon..I would blow the iron thrust dude out the water

I personally believe that any form of marketing for the Shenmue series can not do it any harm. IF the game goes up for download, there are various forms we can let people know about the series and convince them to download. This will hopefully open peoples eyes to the best game ever made in my opinion.

I have the game for both Dreamcast and Xbox but i will definately download it just to help the cause. And who knows this could encourage Sega to finally finish of the series!!! Come on Microsoft, do the right thing!!!

I'd love Shenmue II to be released as an Xbox original on Live, and if Shenmue is also a possibility on Xbox Live, then I think that would be one of the wisest decisions anyone could ever make, people would snap that game up in an instant. I already own both Shenmue games, and Shenmue II on Xbox, but I'd still buy both games on Xbox Live, even if at a hefty price, to show my support.

I will never give up on Shenmue, and those of you that have should be ashamed. Sign the petition, all we need to do is show Sega that there is enough people supporting Shenmue III and we will eventually get it. I don't care how long it takes, I need Shenmue III. If you haven't signed this yet, sign it immediately!

Also, go through your entire MSN/AIM/YIM list, asking your friends to sign it, and if they won't sign it, sign it yourself using their E-mail address and name! Be devious! That way we can get a good 200-300 signatures per Shenmue fan. Think what would happen if every single person who wanted Shenmue III did this... we could get another 50,000 signatures from just 200 (give or take) people, easily, and I'm pretty sure there is a lot more than 200 people that desperately want Shenmue III. If the petition ever reaches 100,000 signatures, I'm pretty sure it will draw a lot more attention, Yu Suzuki commented on it when it had a mere 20,000 signatures! Never give up hope!

I will NOT even consider buying an XBOX 360 until something Shenmue-related is released, whether that be a sequel to the series, Shenmue Online, or even Shenmue II as one of the Xbox Originals.

I have bought my Dreamcast solely for Shenmue 1. The way I bought my Xbox was that I was at a local hobby shop and saw that they had Shenmue 2 on the rack I did a double take because I didn't know it was released in America yet. So what I did was right there and then I bought Shenmue 2 and a Xbox console. Thats to show how much  I love this game. So please Microsoft bring the Shenmue series to your consolse and lets put an end to this very long and tourturous wait.

^ thats the big question.... The other Shenmue's were quite expensive, but that was including graphics engines developed inhouse, remakes (made for Saturn, then scrapped and remade on Dreamcast), and tons of research.

For Shenmue III, we know the story and the bulk research is done, and Sega did aquire the licence to the unreal3 graphics engine so they could use that...  So I imagine that it could be made in a nice price range, *** Gears of War made it in under 10 million.

I think when Shenmue III is released the cost of production will be stated to be larger then it really is by Sega.  I think they will add the cost of development of Shenmue III on Dreamcast and Xbox (which was ready according to Kikizo), and mabey the costs of Shenmue Online,  all added to the ball. 

Shenmue 1 and 2 on originals would be amazing, even withought updated graphics this game will still rock.

I also call for shenmue 3, this game needs to be created.

If there thinking about it on 360 it would be great, a solid console which can get games sold well, a large shenmue fanbase on the 360 aswell. :D.

Shenmue only really struggled on the dreamcast due to the easiness of copying games and playing them on the console. The shenmue fanbase was quite small then aswell.

Im sure it would be cheaper and easier to make for the 360, and with a solid console with not (as many) people playing copied games on there console.

This game needs to be made.
