If I'm right, we have 26 players signed up for this tournament. I say start it now Soldier! Heres my suggestion:

Have 4 rounds like real pro golf tournaments, and even have a cut after the first 2 rounds. Top 16 make the cut.

Round 1: Five groups of 4 and two groups of 3 (randomly picked).

Round 2: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th - Group 1... 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th - group 2... etc etc. Could even do retro to determine who deserves a higher seeding. Whats retro? Lets say you and me both shoot -22. I had a score of -22 after 17 holes and shoot a par on #18. You on the other hand had -21 after 17 holes and get a birdie on #18 to go to -22. By retro, I get the higher seed because I had -22 before you did.

Round 3: Same thing, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th = group 1.... 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th = group 2... etc etc.... 4 groups of 4.

Round 4: I say have another cut, top 8 make this final round. Send the final 8 out in pairings, like real golf, 1st and 2nd... 3rd and 4th... etc.

Get this going Soldier! I need that $50!!! LOL, j/k.

well, since Soldier is not stepping up to the plate here, I will take over this stroke play tournament. For all those that entered this tournament, you have until Wed. Feb. 6 to post a "I'm good to go" on this forum.

I am going to make groups of 4. If at the time when the 4 players are good to go and the EA servers are acting up and won't let 4 player games connect, just pair up and goe out in two's. Two player games generally connect. Winner reports the scores.

Unfortunately I cannot honour Soldier's $50 prize for the champion. I can however award 1400 mircosoft pts.

Sorry people i was slackin on this thing but i back and it looks like pelt has took over thats funny do what you do pelt yea the winner will still get my prize but i was going to give 4000 point so there was not sayin you never got it thur the mail you no so im still in it let me no..... pelt good lookin out though i wasnt keepin up on it but yea my prize is still there

man I was so excited to see woodylightspeed as the latest poster on this thread because I thought he was going to join this stroke play tournament. Woody, if you're reading this buddy, I have no beef with you or anyone else man, I'm just a cool - layed back - golfing dude.... and I would be honoured to play a friendly relaxed 18 hole game of golf with you, have a few drinks, etc.

I would also love to have you in my one day match play tournament this weekend, its on Sat Feb 9. I got a thread going for that one where you can sign up. Matches are on default, and you can put them as unranked if you want, doesn't really matter. Hope you can join and hope we can play a round sometime. Hit me up.

OK, I sent out one mass text message to all those that entered this tournament, telling them to confirm their spot with a "good to go" post by Wednesday February 6. The only ones I couldn't send the message to were Baracuda56 and DLAMB. It said those gamertags do not exist. So if anyone knows them, hit them up, tell them the scoop.

As I said earlier, new entrants are always welcome! So if you're not entered in this tournament yet and you want in, just sign your gamer tag here.

FYI: Smokin Soldier still agrees to award the prize of fifty American dollars ($50) or the equivalent of microsoft points (which he says is 4000 points). Its free to enter this tournament, so not signing up for it would be crazy.

On Thursday morning of February 7, I will post the list of all the confirmed entrants and the important details (groupings, courses, tee and pin placements, etc).

ALSO - if you haven't signed up for it yet, there is a ONE DAY Match Play Tournament this Saturday, February 9. It is also free to enter and the champion will receive 1400 microsoft points.
