I never said that Forza was made by EA. I was just using Forza as an example. Well I am going from what I remember back when I worked for EB games and what my friends that still work for Gamestop tell me which is much more accurate than IGN.

i put my code in and ONLY got the SMG ... i totally WANT BOTH but the sniper it way better. already contacted EA and they are working on it... anyboy out there have any ideas.???

I got my Bonus code from ebgames and it only unlocked one weapon so I'm having the same problem.

i got..BST-V1.

i think wen my friend put the code in he got both guns. and the guy at gamestop gave us 6 or so codes for the guns by accident. buhahhaha

Yeah but couldn't you in theory do a gun swap in game with someone who has the guns and someone who doesn't ? would that possibly override the whole code thing . Someone will have to try that out when it comes out. *fingers-crossed*

receive a message saying ?you have unlocked the following weapons: 1?.
This message actually indicates that your code was successfully
entered,
not in reference to the number of weapons unlocked. However, your
weapons will not appear immediately in your weapons list. After
completing the initial levels you will be able to purchase the
submachine gun.  Your grenade launcher/sniper rifle can be found in
your

they gave me a pack of 5 codes when i picked up my copy used 1 gave my bro another sold 2 on ebay today 15.00 and 18.00 one more endiing tommorrow crazy stuff.

I beat the game on Contractor and I'm playing it on Professional.  Still no sniper rifle.

Interesting cuz all I did was email Gamestop and "told" them I pre-ordered the game but never recieved the codes.  Just got the code in my email like 20 minutes ago.....lol.  But more power to ya if you got some sap to buy em.

This post has seriously gotten out of hand. Someone wants an answer. I'm here to make the best of it.

I did not PRE-ORDER the game. However, there was a flyer stuck to the game. In fact all the AO2's had this. As I got home. I entered the code. I received BOTH guns.

You do not get them FREE. You must PURCHASE them as you would with each gun. The catch is the overpricing on these guns. (I'm depending on my memory. But each gun is in a seperate category. Secondary and Special Weapons I believe).

I began to play the game and I received Achievements. So in RESPONSE to OP. It does not mess up Achievements. If you didn't get a code. Well to bad. If you want it your way go to Burger King.

Gamestop has this posted on their Army of Two page now:

Important Information Regarding Your Pre-Order Weapons Code - When you first enter your code, you will receive a message saying “you have unlocked the following weapons: 1”. This message actually indicates that your code was successfully entered, not in reference to the number of weapons unlocked. Your submachine gun will be available in your primary weapons cache, but SAL-86 will be located in your “special weapons” section. Check back often to your weapons list for availability.

 

This is not true for me at least. I have beaten the game and the sniper is still not in my weapons list. I e-mailed them to let them know and this is what they replied with:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting GameStop.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. From what we
have been told direct from EA, the manufacturer of Army of Two, the
code
is to unlock both weapons. The second weapon is hidden within the game
and the player must unlock certain achievements as well as finish
portions of the game before that second weapon is available. We are
still working with EA to provide us with more detail so we can further
assist our customers. Any additional information will be posted on
GameStop.com.

Yeah my code only unlocked the Sub but my friend over XBL put his code in and immediately got both weapons. wth?

Its quite obvious that there were certain codes that only unlocked one weapon while other codes unlocked both.  I got both and I carry both of them all the time as they are the best weapons in the Secondary and Special blocks. 

Gamestop didnt give me any card or codes and I forgot to ask at the time.  I just called them up and they read me a code over the phone and waited until I entered it to see if it worked (which was nice of them.)  They said if it didnt work they had about 200 of those live cards....

870/1000 points and still no sniper rifle. I hope EA will fix this problem with an update.

I got both guns, 1 is a secondary weapon and the other is a special weapon, try to look in those and all they way at the bottom it shoul be there, both of them.
