Ignorance is bliss. Last time I checked Tecmo designed the game and Tecmo isn't Microsoft. Programming isn't as simple as there's an issue let's quick go undo it. Having ran an update I'm not sure if the system would allow them to "undo" the update as that would then cause problems for people who have it. Not everyone scours the forums to find the secret clear cache buttons. Not everyone with an XBox 360 even has a computer.
Besides that just knowing what the problem is doesn't mean you're able to simply say yes that's the cause of the problem. After you find the bug then you need to find the cause of the bug.
After identifying the cause of the problem you then need to work out a fix for it.
After working out a fix for it they then need to test their fix to see if that broke something else so ignorant people don't whine and complain about how the update broke their game.
Fixing one problem when dealing with programatic issues usually results in another problem. Trying to get everything working isn't a simple 24 hour fix. Certainly we paid for the game and they owe it to us to fix the problem, but being a jerk about it when you're clearly ignorant to what goes into the programming side of things just pisses me off. Fixing stuff like this isn't a simple we'll release a new auto-update tomorrow morning and this will all go away.
