3-10 minutes? That's just tragic, why even bother?

there was another title update this morning. for some reason it made one of my Acolyte saves damaged so i had to delete an Acolyte save that my little brother was playing.

please make sure the new update does not break our save files. I have a save file on MNM right before Dagra Dai that I'm holding off from completing until I can connect to Live. If that gets corrupted I will be VERY unhappy as I'm not thrilled with the idea of having to go through MNM again anytime soon.

I hope when they update the new update, I'll be able to log in and get this update as well as the update I removed without both updates causing another problem which requires an update to that updated update of the update.

Master Ninja weapon runs complete: kusari-gama, tonfa, lunar, scythe, dual katanas

I am sure when they release the patch, they won't have the "bad" patch out to corrupt the working fix.

So much for being fixed on Monday. I looked at the Marketplace and still no Mission Mode.

Thnx DeaconBlade for all this info. I am a little dissapointed that no videogame site have mentioned the problem with the patch and MM except IGN . A lot of people have download this patch over the week end ! and a lot of gamer do not come to these forums so maybe a lot of them are experiencing problems and they dont even know why !!! If this problem was happening to Halo or Gears , the whole planet would have heard of it . Ninja Gaiden is not a lesser game than those big guns . Consumer deserve respect and they havent got it in this case ! i am sorry !!!

Deacon, Do you have any info on my problem? Whenever I go into the main menu of NG2 a little pop-up comes up and says "The active gamer profile on this hard drive has been disconnected re connect the hard drive and try again" I will do that and I will get the same message. But it doesn't say that for any other games. Is that one of the issues with MM?

that's one of the issues that has been reported.  it's a 50/50 shot with some.  i did the title update and i've been fine with NG2.  hopefully a resolution comes soon.

Re: Ninja Gaiden II DLC [UPDATED]

I don't know if this will help any of us but I got this off Tecmo's site.....

"If your situation is urgent and your question cannot wait, give us a call at (310) 944-5005 and choose the Game Support option. If you have any questions about our games, products, technologies, or this site we will gladly provide you with the answers. If one of our expert Game Counselors can't answer your question we will refer you to the resources where you can get the information you need".

I havn't called because I don't have free long distance, lol, but if some one els calls let us know with a post here if they have an ETA on the fix's.

Also look into the issues with the new Title Update.  It's causing freezes during cinematics, and it's actually impossible to finish the game with the update, since you can't access the final string of boss fights.

This is garbage I spent all day working on my dragon sword achievement only to dealing with freezes that NEVER USED to happen and now I'm on the last level and everytime it gets ready to show the high priest or whatever do his resurrection thing, my controller starts vibrating uncontrollably and system freezes EVERYTIME..... WOW you would think y'all would at least play through the game once before releasing some useless update... I mean come on, I can't beat the game now?? I know your not gonna give me back my $60 actually 66 with these crappy suits I can't explain why I bought, y'all need to do something about this like yesterday.

If you mean the update, do the cache thing that I'm sure has been mentioned in this thread, or in a few other threads. If you mean the mission mode, there's no need to delete it. I've explained a couple of time how to fix it, and I'm sure an updade'll come soon to fix it properly.

They can't test this junk at all and why haven't they taken that bad update down? It's not the DLC that causes the problem it's the update. I don't have the DLC and cannot progress in chapter 14 with the update. So WHY is the update still up? What do you clowns do with the money we pay? You provide as little dedicated servers as possible so what do you do with the money we pay you?....Besides smoke it Indifferent [:|]

They cash it all out, then, at MS HQ they fold the bills a couple of times and cut out the shape of a little man. Then when they unfold the bills they have a row of little men. I know from experience (not with cash) that this is a lot of fun.

Well until recently Microsoft had a fairly good certificatioon process, not sure what happened with NGII, but it sucks, whoever certified this pile of crap should be fired.

I'm kinda curious, when they certify it - do they test it, as in, do they have to play the game like we do?

...or do they have some sort of program that is testing these things for them.  The reason why I'm wondering is:  If they have to actually play the game in order to test it, was the game just too hard for their testers?

LOL

Ignorance is bliss.  Last time I checked Tecmo designed the game and Tecmo isn't Microsoft.  Programming isn't as simple as there's an issue let's quick go undo it.  Having ran an update I'm not sure if the system would allow them to "undo" the update as that would then cause problems for people who have it.  Not everyone scours the forums to find the secret clear cache buttons.  Not everyone with an XBox 360 even has a computer.

Besides that just knowing what the problem is doesn't mean you're able to simply say yes that's the cause of the problem.  After you find the bug then you need to find the cause of the bug.

After identifying the cause of the problem you then need to work out a fix for it.

After working out a fix for it they then need to test their fix to see if that broke something else so ignorant people don't whine and complain about how the update broke their game.

Fixing one problem when dealing with programatic issues usually results in another problem.  Trying to get everything working isn't a simple 24 hour fix.  Certainly we paid for the game and they owe it to us to fix the problem, but being a jerk about it when you're clearly ignorant to what goes into the programming side of things just pisses me off.  Fixing stuff like this isn't a simple we'll release a new auto-update tomorrow morning and this will all go away.
