Wouldn't Microsoft punish people for that? I remember someone got a Halo 3 copy early played it and got banned until the year 3009 or something like that.

Nah they cant do that, its the retailers fault for selling it early not his. Whos to say Mystik even knew what he was buying wasnt supposed to be up for sale?

It was all over the net right before the release of the game... i also saw a screenshot of Microsoft sending a messege about "banned until year so and so" can't remember where i saw it though. I'll try to find it and post it.

Nah its alright i believe u. I think thats kinda bad banning them for it though, they should really have sued the retailer that sold to them in instead if they were going to do anything.

He got in trouble for streaming a live feed of him playing the campaign and stuff.

Considering what those guys did with Halo 3 was obtain a copy "illegally" it's quite different the way our fellow gamer received Fable 2. It wasn't illegal, he just got lucky that Kmart decided to break the rule. He didn't do anything to warrant punishment, whereas the boneheads with Halo 3 did.

Case closed.

As far as i could tell they got halo 3 the same way this guy got fable. They just seemed to make it out to be a massive thing with halo by using words like "illegal" and "thiefs". Its just stupid if u ask me.

yea i've called 4 k-marts today, even though i have it paid for and reserved at gamestop! none of them said they had it, kudos to the OP for such a great buy!! hopefully he doesn't get *** ed around for being such a savy consumer.

I have my game reserved at GameStop too, but I would so take the original version over the limited edition if I was able to get it now.
