On the Maple vally track I got a 1:27:921 on the 700 Hp event in the Semi Pro and came around 35000th in the leaderboards. I did it in A class S 995. Is this good, considering most of the top in the leaderboards were all class U999?

I think maybe like over a million people probably raced that race so 35,000 really isn't that bad if you think of how people race it.

Which car did you use? Just curious.

Oh by the way When i get home today. After i play a few rounds at the Frisbee Golf Course i'm gonna post a few tunes up.I know it's been a while so i Apologize for that.
I used the MIME R34. I won it as a prize and is my favourite car. How about the lap time, is that good, average or bad?

well by just looking at it i can see it's 3 seconds faster than my A class NSX-R.I can't  remember exactly what the average laptime on that track is,but the lap time looks good to me.
OK< that good enough for me.

These 2 tunes are just a couple of B class cars i've been driving here lately.I know there not the most dominate cars but hey they are fun to drive.

Just keep in mind that i do use ABS,TCS and Automatic Transmission. So if you don't use these the tune probably won't suit your driving style.

Anyways have fun with these couple of tunes and be sure to keep an eye out as i may just post a few more this week. Big Smile [:D]

I have Lancer GSR VI with a very similar tune and it does very well. It's kinda crazy how some AWD cars do well with a 1.0 to 2.0 caster angle and minimum spring weight possible.

It works really well on the 1969 432R a lot of my other awd A Class cars have the caster set to 7 so it makes no sense. lol

PS This tune works in S Class and B Class you just have to get the build right and tweak the gear ratio's

Hey Firebird ... Porsche 959...

I've put about 6 solid hours trying to tune this thing and  I can't get it dialed in to save my life.  Can you help me out PLEASE?!?!

LOL, I'm recreating a masterpiece of mine from Forza 1 but the car is entirely different in F2.  The back end is either too loose or too tight with no middle ground that I can find.  When I adjust the allignment for a little more grip.. even a small adjustment has catastrophic results when coming in or going out of a turn.  The car has always had a balance problem but I'm begining to think it's not fixable dude...

My Forza 1 ride was super sweet.  In my opinion anyway...lol.  We get this puppy track worthy, I'll gift you a copy of the car.  Hopfully you'll dig it as much as I do.

Thanx bro

Hey man can you try this out and see if it helps?I know this is gonna sound crazy but it may just work.

First try putting the Front Rebound to 20 and the Rear Rebound to 10.5.

If that doesn't work try it the other way.Front Rebound to 10.5 and Rear Rebound to 20.

I tried this when i couldn't figure out what needed to be done to fine tune one of my cars in S class.

Let me know how this does from both standpoints.

The results are in and that was a "no go" on the dampening.  Drastically increasing the rebound for the front gave me great turn in abilities but as I increased my speed to come out of the turn, things got stiff and severe understeer set in.  Took me to the grass everytime.  Decreasing had suprisingly the same effect except it was a little hairier mid-turn as the weight transition wasn't as smooth with the same understeer being the result unless I really worked hard to cut that apex.

I really think it's the car.  I say this because you'd think that a setting that results in understeer, taken to the opposite extreme would result in overstreer.  This wasn't the case though.  I find this to be a rather interesting little quirk.  I think this is one you're gonna have to check out for yourself when you find the time Firebird.

A little real world fact about that car... it's always had a problem with handling.  The experts at A.W. (AutoWeek) and Hemmings Exotic both printed that fact in their 959 write ups.  Yes, my geeky-quantum singularity went looking....lol.  So I'm wondering if that same design flaw made its way into the physics of Forza.  Geometry is geometry right guys or am I waaaay off base with this??

All the Porche cars in forza are tricky to drive even the R Classes, my advice is soften the springs and bump stiffness drop your diff acceleration to between 10 and 20 with the deceleration down to arround 5. If the back end is letting go under braking you might want to adjust you brake balance so you dont lock up the rear tyres.

What class is this for?

Hey man if ya want to you could post up the tune on here or on my website if you like and i can take a look at it and drive it and see what i can come up with.

You never know it could be something very small like the Camber,Toe and Castor.

I've got to work in the morning til 4 and then i'll be working in the yard for a couple of hours.I could possibly work on it today. The only thing i'm doing today is just watching some T.V. so i'll have some time to work on it tonight.

You know what scratch that idea i'll just go ahead and purchase one and work on it tonight and see what i can come up with.

The Porches in this game are tricky to work with, same goes with the Ferrari's.

Ok i got the car and went on to tuning it.I didn't realize this car was so tough to tune.I took me a while to figure out how to get the Rear end in check.Even after i tuned it the Rear end was still having trouble at higher speed turns.

I think it's just the car,If you don't brake just right the Rear end will come out from under you.

I made two different Tunes with this car.

The first of the tunes the lateral G's is 1.17 and 1.16,but at higher speed turns the car is almost impossible to keep on the road, but maintains well at slower speeds.

The 2nd of the tunes the Lateral G's is 1.15 and 1.15.The car is actually more stable. It still has a bit of understeer but on Higher speed Turns the car still likes to come around, but not nearly as bad as the first tune.

The 1st tune is good for Short tracks and the 2nd is better for higher speed tracks.Even after tuning this car i'm still not sure if it's what your looking for just because the car is still having understeer which you are wanting to do away with. And plus it can get wild on higher speed turns. But all in all i still like the car it's just tough to drive sometimes.

Okay, so it wasn't just me.  That's a relief.  I was beginning to think everything I knew about tuning was garbage, lol.   It's definitely the car.  In Forza 1, that car smoked!  I'll keep working on it, finish the painting and all that jazz.  Who knows, I might find it's little "magic fix" by accident while I'm messing around with it.

It's definitely one of the more challenging cars to drive in the game, that's for sure.

I'm with ya on that one, man...the 959 was an absolute MONSTER in Forza 1...could outsprint just about anything, was very well poised, and had ridiculous amounts of grip.  I was really disappointed to see how differently it behaved in 2.  Haven't tried tuning it yet, but maybe this will help if I do manage to get around to it.
