Re: should thay make burnout paradise2

Before I go on, I would just like to say that I judged you by your post and did not expect things to get to this. Secondly, at this point you've showed that my first opinion of you was wrong, because you apparently know how to argue intelligently, something not too common on these forums. But now, I have the urge to just explain my point(s) one last time...

You deserved to be called an idiot, people just like you troll this forums all the time, wishing that their favorite game gets the attention. It's a fine example of internet immaturity. Those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I suggest you go to other forums besides Xbox.com, because these forums happen to be some of the worst unfortunately.
Internet maturity? Interesting how you stated that but started it in the first place by calling me stupid. My reasons for calling you stupid doesnt have anything to do with me trolling as you would suggest it, but it certainly has everything to do with the fact that you blatantly called me out when I didnt do anything to you. If you never said that to begin with.. none of this would have happened. Your comment, is just looking to flame me... Whether or not, my views about Paradise is the same as yours, does not stop me nor anyone from posting in this forum. The fact is I was answering the Original Post, and I did answer the Original Post, maybe not to your liking, but answering it nontheless... I will however agree with you that these forums are some of the worst unfortunately...
A common thing in these forums is an angry nerd posting about how they thing a certain game sucks, and yet they still care enough to post in that game's forum constantly. I suppose it's not too common in this specific forum, but in others, the Battlefield Bad Company forum specifically, trolls are rampant. For someone fairly new here, it can be hard to tell the difference between a moron and a regular poster. gravy666 wrote:
Now, time to state my opinions. I think Paradise is a step forward for racing games. Yes, a lot of luxuries from the series are missing in this entry, but from a reviewing standpoint, the game is the best entry in the Burnout series.
The thing that Paradise has that other racing games don't is events with the entire city open to players. There are no closed courses, and therefore no 'right' route to the finish. Players need to stay sharp to make sure that they don't miss an important turn, just like in real driving. In previous Burnouts, you would just wrecklessly smash into your rivals (and anything else), and follow the track to the finish. It's a little more fun I think, but it doesn't take as much skill as in Paradise.
You see, with Paradise, it is a game that takes time to get good at. The best racers have spent plenty of time honing their skills and learning the lay of the land. Being able to win a long race without needing to look at a map is an achievement in itself.
The city is extremely detailed- obviously a lot of work went into it. Each road and turn is unique, no two roads are the same, like snowflakes. That said, the details help make it easier to navigate the vast city.
And the amount of content for the game is just outstanding. Road Rages, Races, Marked Man events, Burning Routes, Time Road Rules, Showtime Road Rules, billboards to smash, shortcuts to find and fences to break, jumps to land, bikes to ride, online challenges- I can't even name all of them off the top of my head. And online play brings the constant struggle of ruling the roads among your friends- that surely never ends.
If that's not your cup of tea, fine, not everyone's the same. But just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it sucks. It might suck to you, but you know what they say: "One man's trash is another man's treasure."
The takedowns are fine and have always been fine since Burnout 1. Unless you're talking about online lag, I don't see what the problem with the takedown system is. I dont see a problem with what you wrote. In fact what you wrote is probably true from your perspective... Im not going to doubt that you like this.. nor will you doubt that I like Revenge more. I dont have problems with you liking that Paradise. You might be more into open world racing rather than me doing closed track racing....... To each their own... Theres nothing wrong with that.... I have my own views and opinions about why I think Revenge is better. I can go into it, but I cant persuade you to like it nor am I going to try to persuade you.. Your entitled to your own thoughts. IMO, all three games require time to completely master..You can argue that Paradise takes time.. Im sure it does, but so does Revenge and B3, if you want to get the max speed in every turn, every jump, every drift, every straightaway, and the most perfect fastest route.... You may think that because it is a closed track that it really is just one way and that everyone has to take this route or that route, the fact is... to be the best racers in those games, you have to know and understand when to take what route, or how to drift a turn properly whether it be brake boosting or clean drifting, or how to get max boost jump off a ramp, depending on your speed and placement in a race... Yeah, and Paradise features all of those, plus needing to know the roads.

About Criterion's Forums. People like you were apparently ruining the fun for others by demanding crap like Revenge 2. Posting in the wrong forums, whatever. Trolling. Those people did not want to accept what Criterion were doing with Burnout. So, no, Criterion aren't to blame, it's people like you that gave them a bad rap. Good luck trying to win that argument.
Do you always expect things to be good? Its simple really... as paying customers, I think were entitled to have our opinions looked at and As people who keep their company going by buying their games, why shouldnt we be? Arent you entitled to your opinion? Im sure I bought Paradise as well and so did thousands of other players that didnt like it? And After all, wasnt it was our money that bought Revenge and B3 that kept Criterion and its employees into making Paradise... am I right? So how come were not entitled? Which brings me to this point...If we demand some things, arent we going to use our credit cards to purchase it anyways?

I said that the DLC cars for Revenge are 'new' because they aren't included on the disk, and when you download them, they are new cars in your collection. Apparently I need to explain everything to you...
Maybe you need to be more accurate.. because whether or not they arent included in the disk, DL or not, those cars have been there for 3 years already....and they are old...anyone with common sense can understand that... And Im sure you do too... Seems like a misunderstanding, and different ideas of the word 'new', to me.

How am I hypocritical? You were saying that we should have an argument without cursing when you started the cursing to begin with and you still continue you. I was making fun of how you can't even remember what you said earlier in your own posts.
If your mad about me saying something on the lines.. of keep talking shxt, keep talking shxt? Your a mature adult right? You should be able to handle this appropriately... I see nothing wrong with how I responded to you, whether I cursed or not. In fact, I thought it was quite an appropriate response after you flamed me. My argument up there, doesnt have any cursing in it... Its in that one line after you said that my mother would be damn mad is she saw me writing this... That line was a response to your cursing.... Making fun??....In many ways, thats probably the only reason why some people still have some form of sanity in this forum.. I was too quick to judge and made an assumption.

One more thing I forgot to add... If Criterion truly goes into forums and looks at responses... Shouldnt they have anticipated that people will voice their opinion.. What happened there was a forum that wasnt run well.. Every Revenge post was being deleted and every thing that doesnt comform to Paradise was blocked or deleted as well. Was it our fault that they couldnt see our opinions? No... I wasnt aware that, that a forum should be a dictatorship.. I thought it was supposed to be where people should voice their concerns. Afterall it is a Criterion forum right? Doesnt Criterion include those other Burnout games such as Revenge and B3, B2..ect? So how if these games are Criterion games, and a forum is supposed to be where people should voice their opinions whether negative or not, How come Revenge concerns were being deleted?
No, it wasnt players like me. The authority on closing the forums down still rest on their hands.. They should have fully understood that there will be bad responses, negative criticism there.. they should have kept that forum going and let its members take care of it... The decision rested on them.. They pulled the plug, not us....
When you use something that belongs to someone else, you are expected to go by their rules. They are in control, and when they place certain rights upon you, they also give themselves the right to put the blame on you. That's just how life is. We see examples of it time and time again.
Here is Criterion's warning before the forums were shut down:
"OK. It seems there are several members of the "community" who seem to enjoy messing things up for others rather than just enjoying the game.
Enough is enough. We're done with coming to our forum and seeing a small minority of "members" coming to post offensive and abusive posts.
And many of you seem to be participants of this behaviour.
(Yes we do read all of your other forums, and see how you enjoy causing trouble.)
So here's the deal - either this stuff stops TODAY or WE WILL STOP ALL INTERACTION going forward.
This means everything - no podcast, no forum, no blog, nothing.
It really is up to you guys. But we don't need this."
You'd be hard pressed to still say it was their fault.
Anyway, I think we should end this arguing. It's not doing anything, and I'm sure we've both gotten our points across. One thing's for sure, I am surprised by how this turned out...
