i usually dont sign these things unless i absolutely HATE the game.  I hated this as a kid because my cousin always wanted to play it, and i played it against my will to be a nice guy.  And i went against my instinct on this one and bought a code off ebay for $7.00 to download this, I'm a sucker for a deal.  I would have gladly payed xbox another 50 dollars to delete the game from my card once i got my first achievement... Instant regret.

this game requires little if no skill to complete.  completion is solely based on how patient you can be and play this crap game for X amount of hours.  i cant stand sh.it like that and anyone who is like me in that sense, i would HIGHLY suggest you DO NOT buy this game.  poor camera angles that are not always able to change is reason enough not to buy this game.  then you have slow response on controlls.  and the game show at the end???? are you fuu.cking kidding me?  Who actually read all that sh.it at the bottom of the screen during the game?  People don't buy games to read!  If you want me to know some things at the end of a game, then hire a god damn voice actor and have then tell it to me because as soon as this game goes to a crappy cut scene, I'm looking for my drink or checking my messages on my phone......I damn sure ain't going to read some stupid story line.

Bottom line,  I'm an old schooler.  I want to see more games that require skill to complete like Gyruss, Centipede, Geometry Wars or Poker Smash and less crap like this game.  Glad to be done with this game.

If you like games that last FOREVER and require you to do stupid "challenge" after stupid "challenge", then this is your game.  But if you only like these things to last 4-5 hours then STAY AWAY!  I can't believe that my 54 hours to complete Commanders Attack of the Genos seems like a walk in the park after playing this game.

I think you posting in the wrong forum.  That game is not Banjo-Kazooie....

My best friend is Haywood Jablome, I do declare. However, Mike Oxawopah is still cool, due to his Russian heritage.

Re: Official 200/200 Club
Wow, never seen anyone get a temper over a game like that before. So it's long and you have to do a bunch of different challenges? Big deal, the challenges are fun. And the camera angles is like that because the engine was originally designed for the N64, not the Xbox. And there is no game show at the end. Everyone ends up on an island being served drinks by some chick with watermelons. Also, if you read the bottom (and top) of the screen at all, you'd actually be laughing your quantum singularity off instead of checking to see if you got any texts. It's a humorous storyline, much of it adult humor. And finally, the game would be terrible of they used actual voices. If you ask me it works just fine without them.

PS: Just because I'm posting in here doesn't mean I'm signing the thread. I didn't finish the game 100% (more like 50%) and if I did, I'd hire Klungo to sign it for me in invisible ink. :P (Klungo FTW!)

Re: Official 200/200 Club
He posted in the right Forum, but wrong thread. And for someone who is 'old school', I would have suspected that you would have liked the genious behind the development - remember that this was made over a decade ago and the elements of gameplay here are superb even for today. The fact that you don't like reading isn't something which makes the game poor, the quiz was made for you to pay attention and for fans, they would have found it fun at some points and downright excrutiating at others - but never a bother. Besides, there wasn't a whole lot of reading in the game at all ... so you argument there has not got a lot to stand on.

Sure it isn't difficult but that doesn't take away from the fact that this game is awesome. Perhaps you should try out Banjo-Tooie and let us know how 'easy' it was to get 100% in that then? (Let's not derail this thread though - keep it for what it should be based on).
Never has the Terms of Use been cited and viewed so much since the latest Update.

Are you kidding me?  This game isn't old school! 1998 is NOT old school!

Old School is stuff like Asteriods or Centipede.  Those games are challenging.  This game really never gets difficult......snooze fest.

And as far as not reading a lot?  Every time you run into somebody or something it talks to you for what seems to be an eternity.  And you have to sit there and smash the "A" button for nearly 60 seconds.  That is a complete waste of time for those that couldn't care less that the mole and the bird hate each other. (yeah I read the first few)

I will not be trying Banjo-Tooie because I regret playing this one.  I hope Banjo-Tooie never finds its way to XBLA anyway.  Games like this have no business being on the arcade.  XBLA = Xbox Live Arcade.  I don't recall ever seeing this in an arcade.  I would much rather see a damn Block Breaker game.....s.eriously, nearly 200 games on XBLA including things like this and we still don't have a block breaker game! ...thats old school.

I taught Eyedea to punch kids in the face.

... The end of the game does have a gameshow. Grunty's Quiz, before you actually go to fight her.

As for Printmatic, leave him alone. He doesn't have to like the game. Though, I can't imagine why anyone would buy a game they don't like to begin with. If you hated it as a child, what made you think you'd like it now? He's right about this game never getting challenging (with the exception of the Rusty Bucket Bay Propeller Jiggy), though I've played the game several times and have yet to find any lengthy dialogue until the end.

In any case, let him hate the game. This is clearly someone who doesn't care about the games themselves, but rather the points that come with it.

To be honest, his post reminds me more of N&B than the XBLA title, which admittedly, I did not enjoy.

Sarcasm. Get used to it.

Well, a quiz doesn't really count as a 'game show' but more of something that tests your memory. I admit I've never finished the game, but I have seen the ending. Other than that, the game is good, slightly challenging depending on what part you're trying to do, and the sequel Banjo Tootie is beyond challenging. I've playe the emulated version of it on my computer, and if it weren't for the fact that I was using a keyboard, I probably would've thrown the controller on the ground from frustration in some points. It takes forever to find a challenge for a jiggy, and when you do find one, it takes an hour to get it (with the exception of shooting down the bugs at the Mayan place and beating that stupid 80 year old bird in the cave.) Though, I wonder how Stop N' Swop will be incorperated exactly... Will the cheats from Banjo Kazooie pass on into Banjo Tootie to have extra eggs and feathers at the beginning? And will there be better items for N&B than just fluffy dice and a couple flags portraying a country I don't live in?

lol @ this guy.
XBLA games do not need to or previously be actual arcade games.  Braid never came out at an arcade, neither did Portal, Boom Boom Rocket, Watchmen, or a lot of other stuff on there.

I would have been one of the first but I didn't have Internet connection. Did it in a weekend because they don't force you to recollect notes if you die. You can't even recollect them which made the N64 awsome.

I'm on

Amazing game, remember owning it for the N64, never got tired of it. It will always remain one of the best classics to ever be created. I now have all achievements and the game completed 100%.

Re: Official 200/200 Club
Signed ...
This was my first N64 game that I actually owned (got it for Xmas the year it came out - I just rented stuff before that), but since my N64's always lived at my grandparents' house I didn't get to play it often until I got it from XBLA. My first time beating it took me several years since I would play it for a weekend, then not go over to my grandparents' until 2 months later and I'd forget much of how to play and have to re-learn some things ... plus the brevity of my visits over there kept me from doing much in it in any one visit. Now I can do it 100% in a few hours. Grunty always gave me huge trouble as a kid, which was my biggest obstruction in beating it.
I still have a lot of fun every time I replay this. True, it's not that hard for me anymore, but the memories I have of it keep it special and made it worth buying again.

Re: Official 200/200 Club
Signed. I played this through to 100% at least 3 or 4 times back on the N64, by far one of the better games I played back in the old days. This time around was (obviously) easier, but moreso from the fact that musical notes disappear permanently once collected - I always used to miss 3 or 4 in Click Clock Wood.

4/7 - XBLA Games 200/200
